Dark Sense will KILL stealth killers

The perk will make the killer's aura visible. I know undetectable will prevent the aura reveal, but won't the perk still light up and let the survivors know you're coming? They can just camp a pallet for a while.

WDYM Stealth killers are the ones that kill Dark Sense

You get within 24 meters of the survivor, Dark Sense activates and is wasted, because you're Undetectable (L for killers that rely on Oblivious for stealth)

The survivor gets alerted that you're within 24 meters, however this is way less powerful than old Spine Chill

Technically it's even weaker than current Premonition. Dark Sense is once per generator, Premo is once per 30 seconds and lets you know which direction the stealth killer comes from.

Oh right. L for tier 2 Myers. Still W for Ghostface, Wraith, Pig (for pig mains that use stealth), Sadako and Dredge

Aura reading doesn't work against undetectable killers. This perk is still very useless against stealth killers don't worry about it.

The perk icon will still show the red timer and the survivors will know youre nearby.

The red timer on the perk will still activate once you're nearby. Even if they don't know exactly where you are, they can go to a nearby pallet and wait.

They still won’t know from which direction and if there is a pallet to camp nearby that pallet is also reachable in most cases regardless once the surv notices the killer the regular way…

also it’s really 5 times max per match, more likely less as many times gens can get done close in time to eachother and it doesn’t seem like you can stack multiple charges of Dark Sense

I mean, is it really going to kill stealth anymore then spine chill did? instead of a 36 meter warning, they are somewhere within 24 meters.

No? Maybe itll light up when the kuller gets close, but its like Spine Chill is now. It lights up when the killer looks in ur direction but it doesnt mean hes looking at u specifically.

also undetectable renders the perk useless pretty much. If u cant see where Ghosface is coming from u cant reveal him

Yes, I'm aware. This still a massively positive update for stealth killers, since triggering once to let the survivor know that the killer is within 24 meters is way weaker than Spine Chill, and Spine Chill is getting destroyed.

Survivors that really wanted to counter stealth killers now need Premonition, but Dark Sense is way better than Premonition against the 22 or so non-undetectable-stealth killers so it's fine.

Survivors don't have their eyes glued to their perks when they're supposed to show auras on their screens. By the time they notice it'll be too late, even if they immediately notice they won't know which way you're coming from. It's reallyyy not that bad. And considering spine chill was killed, i'd say stealth killers got buffed more than they got nerfed tbh, they'll be fine.

You are assuming this perk will be chosen over any other perk

Even if that was true, it would be a less powerful Spine Chill usable only up to 5 times per match. Doubt it would make a huge difference.

Not really no. Spine chill and premonition didn't kill stealth killers. Dark sense will be a weak version of spine chill, it won't kill stealth killers either.

Im a Dark Sense user and I can tell you this is not as strong as it seems. I’m actually not happy about this change. I prefer how it is now. Knowing EXACTLY where the killer is at when a gen pops, is more vital info than when the killer is approaching. I don’t need to see his aura for a few seconds to loop him. Especially since a lot of killers stand still now and listen for your direction. After the aura is gone then what? I like knowing who the killer is if I finish a generator first on the other side of the map (Suffocation Pit/Azarov’s Resting Place). Plus this says nothing about the final aura reading for 10 seconds when the last gen is completed. I’m assuming that’s gone? Do you know how many times that’s saved me while being injured and on death hook? Literally watching the killer break chase with a healthy survivor, making a bee line towards an exit gate, cuz he’s hoping I’m there.

‘Yea, I’m not happy about this one at all. It was fine as is. Just last week I posted in another thread how underrated this perk is. To me this is an unintentional nerf.

Imma be honest, this seems like a nerf to me (outside of the number changes lol).

Where are you people seeing these changes to go on such rants? There's nothing in the forum news about it.
