DC Penalty

Why is there no reconnect button if you lag out of a game, I have a 6 hour ban cause my internet has been going in and out for the past couple of days, so why isn’t there a reconnect button you can click if you lag out and just have the players character not do anything until they reconnect, it’s actually ridiculous that there’s no support for anyone with less-than-desireable internet connection and that there’s no fix for getting a disconnection penalty

A stable internet connection should be a given for playing an online multiplayer game.

having the ability to reconnect sounds good but once you think about it more there are plenty of cases which would ruin it. Players would definitely find a way to abuse such a feature to either troll their mates as surv or ‚outplay‘ their opponents.

Sure a stable internet connection is a given for playing an online multiplayer game however most of those multiplayer games don’t have dc penalties, and if they do, they have a reconnect feature. Have it to where survivors just stand still if they dc, or just use the bots that they already use in the tutorial, so that there’s no worries about some scummy plays with disconnection/reconnection shenanigans, it would be an immensely better system than what they have now. Thank you for replying to my post btw :)

A "reconnect to server" option would be very nice for those times when someone lags out during the first few moments and the whole match just ends abruptly with "Player failed to connect", wasting all that time spent in queue. If the game ends like that, there could be a 30 second waiting time where remaining players are kept in suspension for the 5th to rejoin. Once they come back: everything begins again. If they don't: then you go about your business are return to queue.

On a slight tangent: why is it that the remaining players never get consolation BP for times like that? You wait in queue and get into a lobby; only for someone to not make it in and everything is called off AND YOU GET NOTHING for the time you waited. At least give the rest of us maybe 8K BP or something as if to say "Hey, here's a consolation for someone dipping out mid-load so this wasn't a total waste of time".

Something like that would be amazing as well, it’s not too long to wait 30 secs. I just got a day ban during the anniversary cause I lag out for 5/10 secs and it kicks me :(
