What to do when 2 survivors and 3+ gens left?
So, after a terrible streak of 20 losses on survivor with many teammates that never touch a gen while trapped in bottom of mmr...(sorry ending rant)
What should I do as a survivor when there are only 2 survivors alive and 3+ gens left? Doing gens is pointless, maybe you'll get lucky and finish 1 or maybe barely 2 if killer takes a nap. The selfish option is to just hide (if you are uninjured) until other survivor dies and then hope for the hatch. Or just find the killer and let them hook you.
- Suicide by gen
- Suicide by killer
- Hide and wait for hatch
When I play killer I see about a 50/50 split on the first two, although hard telling how many are doing #3 because I just see the first survivor. Game just seems pointless once you reach this state.

Very common situation, that's what I do: gather pip points as much as possible trying not to depip.
- Stay away from another surivivor. If he is hooked and killer not camping and looking for you, you can sneak to survivor and unhook him, but immediately separate, no healing. That way you get a little Benevolent points.
- Do gens if other survivor is camped or run killer -> lightbringer points
- If killer is on you, try to loop him as long as possible, pallets are free now (get evader points + hone your looping skill) Couple times I even survived 3 last gens, running the killer while my remaining teammated finished all gens, opened gate and bodyblocked me.
- If your teammate is hooked and almost dead, hatch play and door play (i usuall go for the door immediately, looking for hatch on the way)
- - hatch play: sweep the area for hatch as far from killer as possible
- - door play: if killer found hatch find spot near the door where you can walk and hide, open gate to middle of letter "C" in the word "Escape", when killer come to check, walk and hide, when he goes to the other door, open gate to the full (doesn't work on many killers, noed and door spawn could nullify it also)
If you're facecamped, which is 30% of the matches, then you can suicide to give your teammate a chance to escape, pip's cannot be saved in that scenario.

there isn’t a definitive or even good answer to this. It depends on many things.
though just hiding and not trying to progress at all and hoping for hatch might be breaking game rules when the other survivor is doing the same… (which is just bad game design tbh)
if I am in that situation I might either just try a gen if everyone played fair. Or I will go out of my way and first do totems (could still be Noed after all), search chests (key), try to find a way to heal (teammate, medkit/chest) and do a little bit on gens and rotate on the gens.

Just don't hide hoping killer will find that other survivor. That's so annoying. I had so much time wasted like this as a killer, I have let them bleed out for it (I was looking for them over 20 minutes).
You can try donate an item and hope killer will let you live, or just go and try to get a good chase.

If it were up to the community here on the forums, #1 is the only option.
#2 just gets you slugged for 3 minutes and 55 seconds before you're hooked (unless the killer finds the last survivor sooner)
#3 is "robbing the killer" of their stomp win they "earned" just to get an "easy escape"

Thanks Serje, I think that is the best suggestion; Just little things to get more points. Still frustrating that there is little you can do with actual hope of winning. Like playing late game monopoly.

In that scenario you don't play for win. You play for "loot": pips, experience, bloodpoints.

I really like this strategy. I've never figured out how to play the door right right when it is just you and killer. I had someone pull it off successfully once against me as killer, but I've never managed to trick a killer at the end.
