With coming nerf will there be at least one scenario for "Iron WIll"?
By completely crippling this perk imho its now completely useless like No Mither.
When surv will be attacked by killer nearly all of them use one exhaustion perk to get out of the chase. But then IW is deactivated as long as you are exhausted.
And even if you recover you are still loud enogh to be heard with a good headset resp. good ears.
So what is the use of IW? Why dont they just deleted it? That would be more honest.

I think survivor players severely underplay the 75% sound reduction. This is still huge, but it now gives killers a fighting chance without totally crippeling one of their basic tools. With 75% sound reduction you can still hide in the bushes and got a decent chance to not be heared or to blind a killer and slip past them, but it now has a chance of failing. This chance of failing is not a "100% useless" thing, but making it much much fairer. I know that people in general want to see a pay off of their investments, and thats why DH is much more popular then Lithe, which is much more popular then Balanced Landing and Smash Hit etc. but IW gutted so much of the killer gameplay and made nearly every killer look like a bumbling fool, its good that its effectiveness got curbed down a bit.
Why not try it out instead of crying that its "100% useless now"? Have you tried it in the PTB? Have you been found out every single time you tried to hide? Whats your reasoning behind your hate for this change? Yes, I am a killer main, but I always try to be reasonable and play a lot of survivor nowadays.

Add in how loud chase music is... the Killer will have to drop chase to even try and listen
Well they didn't make Predator give more directional Scratch Marks

Maybe 75% might work out. Maybe 80 or 90% is better.
But the combination with exhaustion destroy this perk to 100%. I thought a lot where this perk could be useful but i dont find a scenario. IW is important if you hide from killer and got hit. Then its hard since you make scratching mark and bloodtrail. You need "Lucky break" (and then you have only 50% slots left) to reduce it. But you usually need an exhaustion perk to get away and then when its most important not to make to much noise IW is deactivated. There is no other situation and waitin up to 60 seconds to use it again is just ridicolous.
If IW wont depend on exhaustion and they test if 75% is ok or need to be raised slightly it would be still a nerf. I like to play Iron Will, Lucky Break, Lithe and Dance with me.
But you are right it should be at least tested and there are some other perks you could use as an alternative. Nevertheless if they gut IW that way its completely useless perk imho.

Maybe you are right and 75% will be ok but the combination with exhaustion simply kills this perk. And there are not many survs without exhaustion perks for a good reason.

Yeah probably this might be ok. But the combination with exhaustion is the problem. 75% might be a little bit too much. Why not 80 or 90%? And seein if that is enough or not.

It really isn't, combining stealth and guaranteed distance of exhaustion will definitely be a biggest problem for hiding, so removing that combo is healthy for the game.

But if i hide successful from a killer why do i need IW anylonger esp. if i am axhausted? IW was the reward not to get heard since its still hard enough to get rid of the killer. I see it completely different and i dont see any scenario where this perk after destroying it that way would be useful. This will make this perk drop down from meta (esp. for solo survs) to something like No mither :(

IW was a passive buff that makes everything for killer to be difficult, now it's toned down and actually fairer.

Iron Will's nerf should've been that survivors still make breathing noises as if they're healthy.

No now that you cant use it when you are exhausted makes it useless cause you are most time exhausted in chase since nearly all player use exhaustion perks. So IW is 100% destroyed. If not show us a realistic scenario where to use it.

I don't run an Exhaustion perk... but then again I don't escape a lot either

Unless you're playing with your monitor built in speakers even 90% is useless because you can track survivors easily unless they're already far away but at that point you wouldn't ear them anyways with or without iron will. I'm HOH and old stridor 1 was enough to track survivors pretty much everywhere, it even made it easier if survivors had iron will as spirit because it narrowed down their position so much

Have you actually tried playing killers ever even?
Game is intentionally trying to make hearing harder by adding chase musics, if you actually think even 90% is useless you are either editing sounds or playing with extreme volume.
Just use it for hiding? because like, it's just not meant to be used in chases with exhaustion perks and that is good thing.

I believe you underplay headsets, sure for people playing 10 meters away of the TV or people blasting music while they play 75% is going to be more than enough but for everyone who uses a 2€ headset 75% is nothing, you cant juke a headset using Killer with a 75% reduction in grunts which was the main thing IW provided.
Pair reduced efficacy with Exhaustion condition and this perk is rendered Red Herring level of uselessness.

If you have chase music, you see the Survivor.
Iron Will mainly works while hiding (when the Killer is not in chase) or against Spirit (she also does not have chase music while phasing).

IMO the Exhaustion-Part is fine. Iron Will is a strong Perk and I think a trade-off is ok. Want to use an Exhaustion Perk? Then you have a weaker Iron Will. Want to be stealthy? Well, then you cannot use an Exhaustion Perk.
The only problem with that is that the Exhaustion-Perks would be weighted differently. You will never have Iron Will when using Sprint Burst, but you will have it a decent amount of time when using Dead Hard for example.
The reduction to 75% is what kills the Perk. A semi-decent Headset is enough to hear the Survivor. I tested it on the PTB, a Blight was able to hear me despite crouching.

But that is really rare. Nearly all survs run an exhaustion perk i even saw some using two of them which makes no sense imo. And escaping is one of the main targets since you cant kill the killer ;) Maybe a chase battle and loop well. But most survs will sooner or later try to escape for a good reason. And then IW could be essential.

Who says that? You? When you are injured you need to escape first before hiding. And if you use an exhaustion perk which most survs will do since its an emergency situation IW then is useless. q.e.d.

We will see in PTB. I am afraid too that 75% is too much. But very often you cant use it since you are exhausted and then completely destroy this perk. I really dont know where/when to use it after they completely crippled it.

I am not happy with the 75% but i think the combination with exhaustion is the problem since exhaustion perk imo can be called basic perks. Nearly everyone has one on board for a very good reason. Who use DH wont need IW since they want to loop and buy time for other survs. These who use Lithe e.g. dont really look for long chases and they focus on gens. I have always a toolkit with me and i try to be stealthy. If the killer chase me i try to loop/buy time but mostly i look to get away. Withou exhaustion perk i dont know how to manage it. Sure sometimes mindgame works out fine but the exhaustion perk is much more reliable.
I play killer too and i am not worried about IW at all.

It's not just "toned down". Before there was no information, now there will be some information. And not just that alone. It's also directional.

But there are many killer perks you cannot really counter e.g. when he see you like deadly pursuer etc. And if its only about 100% to 75% that might be ok resp. you could test it. But if it depends on you are not exhausted then there is literally no more use for this perk. Who will bring it? And then we should kill all meta perks and not only a few of them.

It went very well :)

Lethal Pursuer does have counters... Distortion ( and playing around with where you go... and who you are around)
Also I could ask if you would like to not have Huntress Lullaby when playing against her?

I'm not aware that something was "fixed". "Fixed" would mean it was a bug. It wasn't a bug, so it can not be fixed. Did the devs mention that Iron Will was "fixed"? I don't think so, because it's part of a "rework". But nice try at framing it that way.
And what's broken is that killers basically do have an audio wallhack at all times now.
Imagine, scratch marks, blood spatters, foot steps, breathing noises, special noises when entering lockers and exiting lockers, and jumping down from heights ... and all that is still not enough.

Maybe he meant that with killing IW these perks will be weakened too. Maybe. And you both are right. You can use them without IW but destroyin IW destroy them a little bit too. If i am hurt and i use lithe to get away i cant use IW and the killer will find me very easy. Some survs are a little bit less noisy when injured (afaik) and so they get an advantage on top. IW made you able to choose all survs investing one slot.

They have Tinkerer which makes killer undetectable for up to 16 seconds. You cant counter that too. The lullaby is really annoying. The killer radius is enough to me. If i can disable it i would.

When i play killer this is enough. Btw not everyone equip IW. And there are a lot of perks and addons to make survs visible. It was not needed to destroy IW that way. Same goes for DH. And as Killer i dont think Corrupt Intervention needed a rework. Yeah it is annyoin but it gave you the chance to hide since most killers first look at gens that were not blocked. Meanwhile you can open chests or cleanse totems.

I pretty much care if people use words like "fixed" to frame things it into their narrative.
We will see how things play out, no doubt about it.
But downplaying the effects ("toned down) of the Iron Will "rework" doesn't do justice to the change.

The answer is that Iron Will works in the same scenarios as before it is just no longer FOOLPROOF, which it never should have been in the first place.

No it did not since most survs use exhaustion perks to get away but without IW that will be countered. And as long as they run exhaustion wont be reduced. And it was not "FOOLPROOF". You still need other perks (which costs slots) and skill to get out. Now IW dont work out anymore and will disappear resp. after this destruction you will see only very few survs using it. Maybe players will also leave game. We will see.

People got way too cozy using Iron Will and literally being 1 meter away on the other side of a thin wall. That was the problem. Total deafening should not be a thing.
Also, a perk doesn't suck cause you feel you need another perk. You don't need to run an Exhaustion perk.
