XBox Pro Wireless Controller on PC - Skill check button input response not always working

I am playing DBD on my windows 11 PC via Steam with an xbox pro wireless bluetooth controller.
Occasionally, say 1 in every 6 skills checks, do not work. I surely press the button and the needle keeps flying past the success zone.
I have tried to change the input of the skill check button 3 different times but it always results in the same. This is getting increasingly frustrating and deters me from queuing as a survivor. This happens on generator repairs, healing, as well as struggling on second hook - in any map with any survivor.
Is this a known issue? I have attached the log.
