Did BHVR change the requirements for Adept? Or is it bugged?

I have every Adept on PS4, and I've switched to Steam and am working on getting all of them again. Just played a match as Oni and got a 4K, however, during the End Results screen it gave me a Ruthless, despite this it unlocked Adept Oni... normally Adept's given for only Merciless... right?

    Sometimes, there's a visual bug with pips in the post match screen. When you get back to killer main menu, you can hover over your grade and check how many pips you actually received (if you remember how many you had before the trial).
