Resurgence not Activating

PS5-Resurgence not activating when unhooked


Step 1 : Boot the game

Step 2 : Play against The Artist

Step 3 : Get hit with Sloppy Butcher

Step 4 : Get Hooked

Step 5: Unhooked by teammate

Step 6: Get hit with dire crow, but not take damage

Step 7: Quickly Hop into and out of locker to take off crows

Step 8: Health Bar not at 50%, instead it’s at 0% when healed by teammate

  • Map: Suffocation Pit
  • Frequency of the issue: Happened once, hard to replicate on public matches

    It's not a bug. Sloppy applies a beefed-up Hemorrage that regresses healing progress at an additional 25% per second when not actively healing.

    Meaning, you lose your Resurgence progress almost immediately if you don't start healing right away.

    Conclusion: don't use Resurgence. It's a dead perk.

    Further conclusion: pretty good job so far.

    If Sloppy is regressing heal progress so fast that you lose it all by the time the unhook animation ends, then at the very least the heal progress granted by the perk should be applied after the unhook animation. Because as it stands, if you're afflicted with hemorrhage from Sloppy you don't even spawn with any heal progress completion. (Not sure about other forms of hemorrhage as I rarely see hemorrhage from sources other than Sloppy.)
