How Wiggling should work
For a while now there is this new mechanic in the beta tab (hitting skill checks for wiggling of the killer instead of adadadadada)
I think, there can be more. I'd like to see a mechanic like this:
You can use wasd keys to push the killer slightly in a direction. The progression bar fills similar to when you got shot by Deathslinger if you just press any key. So you can push the killer in a direction to make him bump into objects. The impact should be similar to where it is now, except the direction it goes is now controlled by the player and not random.
The point of it is, it's like the old system, but you have something interesting to do, the killer has to look out for obstacles. It's just a little more gameplay.
The beta system is ok, but I don't like to go in a direction, where survivors just need to do skill checks all the time. They are cool, but boring. There should also be a solution to this gen problem. Increasing the time for gens is a balancing fix, but there should come something else for survivors to do.

You get stuck on random crap all the damn time on console as killer when it's random jostling, I can't imagine what it would be like if survivors could actually actively throw me into obstacles, especially if they have Boil Over...

That sounds really annoying. I'm averse to these kinds of suggestions because I feel they don't make solo queue any easier to play (unless the issue in question is just specifically bad map design and areas the killer can't hook anyone if the survivor plays it right, which would not be good), but they give SWFs more tools to work with and make stuff like Boil Over/Oak/Sabo even more miserable than it already is.
And when it does come to stuff like doorways you can steer the killer into or ledges you can drive them off of... when the killer picks you up, they are meant to get you to a hook. The wiggle mechanic is there to allow for team play and to prevent the killer from being able to take you to the basement every time. You're not really meant to have tools to get off on your own.
Also, yeah, this disproportionately affects console players because their movement speed is less than 100% when trying to compensate for wiggle direction, when PC can navigate at 100% at all times.

Maybe it could be integrated into Boil Over (as right now killers can utilize BO to actually hook you faster). But if it were just a part of base wiggling, it would have to be barely noticeable. As @tippy2k2 said above, the standard random jostling can already mess up a carrying killer. And if you have bodyblockers too.. oh boy.

Definitely no WASD, as you could just keep hitting back to slow the killer's forward progress. Left and right I'd be generally okay with to a degree at standard force, but with Boil Over it'd be too much.

Not possible. It's only left and right as of now and I'm glad it is only that.
