Any and all killer methods of damaging a survivor should reveal NOED/Exposed perks
So I've noticed more and more that this is a problem
NOED/Devour is not revealed for certain killers when they damage you with their powers, the main ones being plague (Corrupt purge, not vile) and Nemesis' tentacle attack
Now if this was an "intended feature" that only m1s show it, then ok that'd be one thing but it's clearly not because some killers reveal it like Legion and Huntress
Either make it one or the other, I hate losing games because I was robbed of information I should've had

Devour Hope not getting revealed by corrupt purge is a bug. Most special attacks do reveal it.
NOED only gets revealed by basic attacks; this is consistent on everyone and is intentional.

It's not
I'm pretty sure Huntress hatchets reveal NOED, I've had it happen before

According to the wiki, only Devour Hope is revealed by special attacks. Not NOED.
As to the topic, I personally don’t see why either of them should reveal themselves outside of basic attacks. Since special attacks never utilize exposed.

I don't get the logic personally
Devour and NOED both do the same thing so they should both be revealed or not revealed in the same manner
I'm 100% sure I've seen NOED get revealed by special attacks before, I had a huntress hatchet hit me, injure me but the 'exposed: NOED' thing popped up.

The only caveat I can think of is that NOED gives a permanent speed boost as long as the hex is up, whereas Devour only gives a brief haste after hooking a survivor. But I agree with you it should be consistent across both hexes in either revealing themselves on special attacks or not.

You have nothing to worry about; literally no one is going to use NOED after it gets changed in the upcoming patch.

Press X to doubt.

Literally nothing has changed about it
You're still going to get randomly hit by it in the endgame and be left to die

Did you not see that NOED is getting an insane nerf in that it will show you exactly where the totem is located?
Are you unaware that there are killers that have an effect better than NOED?

OP is right about the upcoming NOED changes, it will be meaningless. Which is really funny considering how BHVR justified the other perk reworks. "Yes, we ourselves insist that Self-Care isn't very good, but statistics say it's a top three most-used survivor perk, so we're going to completely destroy it." vs. "Yes, we know many people complain about NOED and statistics say it's a top three most-used killer perk, but we don't care, we like it, so we're not changing anything significant about its utility."

NOED's main strength is when you're being chased, the last gen pops and you're insta downed
The nerf doesn't change that

I’ll still use NOED, still gonna be a good perk to counter gen rushing.

See that’s kind of BS because survivors already have detectives hunch to see totems auras so why do they get free aura reading to NOED???

Huntress hatchets do not reveal noed, I just double-checked in a custom match.
Anyway, I do think the way the two perks are revealed could be made more clear in those perks’ descriptions. But I don’t think they necessarily need to work the same way. I like how it is because I think if devour could be hidden through special attacks up to the point where you could mori that could be too strong, but for noed it’s not really an issue.

I'm the one who added the trivia point to that page. I in fact tested this myself and can confirm that Devour Hope is revealed by special attacks, while NOED is not.
For so long, I tried to use special attacks to hide Devour Hope, thinking it was helping, as everyone told me that special attacks hid it. However, since I kept constantly having it cleansed after hitting someone with 3 tokens, I started to have doubts. I later tested this, and discovered that it IS revealed by special attacks and that everyone had lied to me about them not revealing it.
NOED is a different story. I recall several times where, after the gates were powered, I, or someone else was hit by a special attack, without revealing NOED, only for it later to be revealed by the Killer landing a basic attack.
