Update Needs Fixing ASAP
The new patch has changed a lot, and while some of it was for the better there are several changes that completely contradict the point of the update and it has had a major toll on the behavior of players. When playing as the killer there is no incentive not to tunnel. Any killer can just go full tunnel mode either waiting out the 5 seconds of endurance, or just smacking through it with Save The Best like I do. The endurance off hook helps me more when I play killer than it does when I play survivor. The update has made major changes making killers more aggressive in chase, while destroying the few options to avoid being tunneled in favor of a "fresh new meta" when the only reason these perks were the meta was because they all truly helped avoid tunneling. There is little that can be done to counter tunneling after endurance was nerfed to not stack over deep wound, and that was what we were told was being changed for survivors. Players were told that the patch would reduce tunneling for survivors, I completely disagree and find myself in matches where tunneling is easier than ever. Before if I wanted to tunnel someone, I would have to wait out 12 seconds of BT, eat a D-strike, avoid a Dead Hard, and then I might lose 2 or 3 gens for that. The goals and objectives the developers had for the killer side has met expectations but since they nerfed the old survivor perks, buffed new ones only to nerf them before making it to live servers only rubs salt in the wound that this was a killer sided update. I'm not a great killer, I should not be getting easy 4k's much like if I'm not a good survivor I shouldn't be escaping much. However I find that since the changes I survive 1/8 matches and while playing killer I get an easy minimum 3k in 7/8 matches. I enjoyed playing killer before the update, and I enjoy the undeserved power of easily defeating lobbies that should've destroyed me, but I still can't say those wins were real wins or that any of these matches are even legit anymore because the scales are clearly tipped in favor of one side. I honestly want my money back at this point.
