This game will experience the same fate as Deathgarden

I'm very afraid. Never in my 5 years of playing has solo queue been this awful or SWF been this sweaty.

Solo-Q will see a decrease in players for sure, but between Killer and SWF this game isn't gonna die like Deathgarden

Edit: Welp, since I made this post, I have had ELEVEN matches in a row where either 1 survivor was completely tunneled, someone gave up on first hook, someone DC'd, or the killer completely played unsportsmanlike with their build. No more than two generators done. Very un-fun and perhaps I spoke too soon, earlier?

Deathgarden, amongst many other reasons, died because their version of survivors were so strong that there was a severe lack of their version of killers. The new changes to DbD have tipped the balance more back toward the killers, which is good.

It took me 9 games to complete 1 escape challenge. I am also Iri 1, idk what has happened in the past 2 days, but it's bad.

deathgarden died because the entire game was unbalanced.

dead by daylight has some unbalanced aspects as well as a lot of unfun scenarios but the base gameplay is pretty nice.

you cant kill the killer, being chased is fun since you can fight back, the progression system is really good at the start at least (the prestige rework has some huge flaws like not being able to get more rare add-ons or bloodwebs being more expensive)

cosmetics look cool, a lot of content on the killer side, a lot of playstyles for survivors (although there is an obvious meta).

It just has a good gameplay loop, enough said.

That being said if they do not address the urgent issues that is SoloQ being absolutely miserable compared to swf on comms and some things the killer can do being completely unfun to play against (camping bubba for example; just making 1 survivor not play the game is really cringe)

Im getting paired with survivors with no game time, complete babies to the game. I'm scared to even think about where exactly in the MMR system I place 😂 It's either that or I get paired in Narnia servers and get 150-300 ping, I guess the killer queues are that bad

It has gotten to a point where I see survivors make mistakes that just leave me speechless and I just let the killer end my suffering.

I thought the MMR was bad, but now it's on a whole new level of bad. I keep seeing survivors with no prestige in my lobbies, I check the accounts where possible - 50-200 hrs in the game, so I'm thinking smurfs. There is no way the game is paring me with babies. But no, those are babies, they play like babies

i would be too, right now a lot of issues have been exposed since killers can readilly abuse them now + soloQ feels more miserable than before since no more perks to bail you out.

if they arent addressed relatively soon, player numbers will dwindle again.

the game wont die soon though, sbmm only killed 4/5th of the playerbase and that 1/5th just refused to leave (this is just resident evil chapter number compared to sadako chapter after sbmm which was roughly 100k down to 20k I think).

if the community didnt die because of that, i m guessing enough players will stick around to keep the game alive

also players like me always return as soon as the game is decent and leave as soon as it turns boring/bad again so there s definitely a dormant playerbase just waiting to play dbd again lmao

    *grabs popcorn*

Anyone capping in the replies wanna come back to further embarrass themselves?

I'll be bumping this thread right as the player count drops and BHVR is throwing out Bloodhunts and XP bonuses like it's a parade.

Nevermind this post is a necro

What are you talking about? If anything, posts like this just prove that nothing bad is going to happen, even after the newest patch. Look at all the posts that said DBD was going to die after the 6.1.0 update, and nothing happened. Wow, crazy.

Sure, some players will take a break if there won't be more changes, for example, camping will need to be addressed as well if healing is nerfed, but the game will not be in big trouble.

    Oh my god, the drama!

They do one survivor nerf along killing all the current meta of the killers and you decide to revive an old post having even less arguments now that you had when you started it.

    This is so fun.
