MoM premature triggering

Member Posts: 1,729

If you receive the 2nd stack for MoM while healthy, the perk seems to proc prematurely. Instead of going into the injured state, the perk activates, putting you into Deep Wound while not letting you properly tank a hit.

I think there might be a logical explanation for this

In the clip, the streamer is exposed right?

Endurance protects you from insta-downs, even if you are healthy

So what's happening (I guess obviously) is:

    1) The game registers protection hit and activates MoM

    2) The game detects that the person being hit is exposed

    3) The endurance hit activates because otherwise the streamer would be insta-downed and the perk wouldn't trigger

So basically, this wasn't a premature MoM, this was endurance proccing to protect someone from being instantly downed.

    Ah, I missed that.

However, I don't think MoM is supposed to work like that. You gain endurance AFTER the hit, so he should've went down still.

Yeah what used to happen was you'd go down and then when you got back up/were rescued you'd have MoM active to block a single hit.

Not sure what's changed but I know this endurance countering exposed thing has been in the game for a long time because over the years I've seen people be unhooked with BT and Adrenaline and then the Killer would hit them with NOED or something similar and they'd tank the hit

I think it's (kinda?) an intended interaction but it's so weird how the endurance is consumed immediately here.
