Insidious rework idea

Insidious (CURRENT):

  • After standing still for 4/3/2 seconds, you are granted the Undetectable Status Effect until you act or move again.

Insidious (REWORKED):

After standing still for 4/3/2 seconds at least 16 meters away from nearest hooked survivor, you are granted following effects until you act or move again:

  • Undetectable Status Effect
  • see auras of all healthy survivors within 8 meters
  • see auras of all oblivious survivors who are at least 40 meters away from you

This change aims to make this perk make more useful while discouraging it's current hook camping use case.

This perk additionaly could have some kind of cooldown between uses

    My own idea was add a touch of Dark Devotion. Once active, you become Undetectable but, instead of going away, your Terror Radius remains stationary in the place you activated Insidious for a set duration, starting from either when you move or when you leave the TR yourself.

    Gives you Undetectable at will (the basic idea of it perk) while reducing its problematic aspect (only good for camping)

    16 meter distance requirement (copied distance from Kindred) should be enough to make this perk less useful for hook camping.

    Undetectable Status Effect + 8 meter healthy reveal encourages mind game use case (wraith & bubba have addons with similar effect but without movement or health restriction)

    oblivious reveal could be used to for finding new chases (similar to barbecue & chili but limited to oblivious survivors)

    This perk additionally could have some kind of cool-down (30-60 seconds) to avoid aura reveal spam
