Save The Best For Last seriously needs to get nerfed!

Many killers abuse the ‘2 stacks basekit’ and pair it with STBFL and just start camping the hook. And you can’t do anything about (just keep hook trading every time). They need to lower the stacks to 4 or 3 stacks because this is getting out of hand with pretty much every Killer camping at hooks.

I see camping as the issue, even without the new STBFL. Bubba being one of the biggest perpetrators. I'm hoping that the devs are working on something to help alleviate that.

I’m a killer main and I agree that STBFL is probably overtuned now, there’s a reason it shot up in popularity. They could hypothetically tweak it so it caps out at the same fastest net recovery speed it had pre-patch and it would be just as good a perk as it was (which was a good perk, I used it quite a lot pre-patch. Now it’s verging on being a little too fast at 8 tokens.)

Thanks for sharing your perspective as a Killer main. It makes having a productive conversation easier.

Bringing it down to six tokens as the maximum would be reasonable, that just maintains its maximum efficiency from before the patch while still buffing it via getting to max stacks quicker, but I see no reason it'd need to be nerfed further than that.

It didn't need nerfing before this patch, so there's no reason to bring it down any further than that.

(Also, it's not that great for camping since you have to build up your stacks to use it that way and it only affects M1 killers who already aren't that great at camping, so I don't think that's necessarily the problem with it.)

As a survivor main and I think trying to deal with camping by nerfing killers is pointless. What we need to do is buff perks that encourage them to leave the hook (pop, ruin, BBQ, etc). They camp because they have no reason not to, and past mid mmr it's actually a requirement to win. Nerfing killers is only going to make the problem even worse.

The "buff" is not because it's much faster, it's 0.15 or 0.3 if I'm not mistaken. People are using it much more because u can fell the perks effect much earlier, since u have a baseline 2 stack, so if u chase ur obsession (what sometimes u need to) u would have 4 stacks + 2 basekit, with makes the perk more viable that's what meta shakeup means btw.

That difference is actually noticeable, it means about 1 meter less distance in a chase and also greatly increases the relative window to get two hits on a row during a hook save versus just getting one hit.

killers were camping before without the perk, so nothing changed. lower stacks isn't going change the killer standing at hook gameplay.

changing it just buff shift-w, med kits and endurance all of which don't need buffs. If anything the shift-w, med-kits and endurence are still arguably still too effective, perhaps needing more negative changes.

    Just for the record...

STBFL at max stacks is 1.62 second cooldown.

STBFL before at max was 1.8 seconds.

    At 7 (current), it's 1.75 seconds.
