Circle of healing is ridiculous and should be nerfed

And I'm saying this from a survivor main point of view. It essentially gives you unlimited heals while being extremely time effecient. Isn't the whole point of survivor is having limited resources? And I don't think the problem lies within boons themselves, no one uses anything besides COH, alongside COH at best.

The problem is that it's even faster than old self-care, which was actually quite time efficient. Think about it, the regular heal is 16 seconds, and self-care took 32. The regular heal takes away 16 seconds from two survivors, making it 32 seconds in total. So why does a boon with a huge radius that works for the entire team and only takes 16 seconds to set up is so time efficient???? It makes no sense, really.

My proposed fix would either to make boons have limited uses and buff other boons or a more rational change - making it either a heal boost boon that doesn't let you self heal but boost heal speed more drastically(original 100% probably would be fine) or make it a self heal that heals you at half speed(32 seconds) with no additional benefits.

Your thoughts?

I think base CoH (21.3 second heals) is fine. What's not fine however, is Botany bringing it back to 16 second heals

I'd be 100% ok with a coh nerf. Although I agree that self-care nerf was dumb. The perk is essentially useless now

It's still time efficient if your team also healed themselfes with it.

(Also, 20-ish seconds self-heal without a med-kit is now slow?)

When I played solo-queue before the Self-Care nerf, I would use Self-Care. Now however, it is almost always better to use CoH. It gives 4 survivors a better version of Self-Care, and there is no guarantee of a use limit since you can re-boon at little to no cost to yourself as survivor. As non-mobility killers however, you rarely have time to snuff a boon on a completed gen, and the remaining 3 survivors are free to work on gens if you only hit 1 survivor. By the time you injure the 2nd or even 3rd survivor the 1st is running back to the gens, and the 4th is still free to work on gens un-interrupted.

I think CoH should be a team perk, based on teamwork. Often times you will see 2 or even 3 survivors self-healing side by side in a CoH, rather than healing each other. I would drop the Self-Care % from 50 to the same as the solo perk value, 35. Also instead of a 50% to all heal speeds it should grant 100% altruistic heal speed. Now there might need to be some form of information for the allied survivors to know someone needs healing there. I would say you can see allied survivor's auras within the boon if they are not moving, or maybe only Self-Caring. This way you know if they need help, but not free info if they are in chase so you know you can focus the gens.

Another alternative would have shattered hope un-boon totems when you hook the boon owner.

I'm okay with COH being nerfed IF bhvr buff Self-Care back to 50% again

So, you would again make a perk be usefull in swf, but not solo.

No? Make it be 32 seconds and that would be a fine change. I just proposed an alternative

I think getting to boon up is a distraction from doing gens and the killer can easily destroy the boon if found.

I think it has value in SWF but much less in solo q.

That'd kill the Perk, bad idea.

If you really want to nerf CoH, turn it into more of an assist Boon.

You can't heal yourself anymore, increases the healing speed by 100% and Survivor within the Boon's radius have their Aura shown to the other Survivors

Barely no-one uses coh anymore it was nerfed many times before so it's fine now it should only be easier to locate for killer when he is in range that's only change it needs.

Circle of Healing is still used, it’s just not in the top ten. But on the aggregate site I follow it’s used by about 9% of survivors which is decent. (It’s just under Decisive Strike and just over Spine Chill in percentage.)

But yeah, I agree that Circle of Healing doesn’t need a nerf, its current healing speed seems fine. I’ve definitely seen matches where survivors lose because they too much time setting up and resetting up that Boon and running back and forth to try and self heal instead of using that time to finish gens.

The only problematic thing about Circle of Healing (and Boons in general) is with very specific totem spots in multi-level buildings and maps where a survivor can place the Boon and it covers a wide section of a main structure but in order to snuff the Boon the killer has to take a long path to get to it. For example that totem spot at the top of the Ironworks building is a prime offender, it covers basically the entire building but is so out of the way to reach it’s a losing proposition of the killer wants to snuff it. Fortunately this isn’t much of a problem on most maps, just specific ones, so all they have to do is move or remove those particular totem spots to be closer to ground level.

COH is fine now, especially because BHVR completely destroyed self care.

A lot of times I'd rather have my teammate just working on gens than running around setting up boons. It's situational, if it was nerfed it would be useless like self care.

Self care getting destroyed doesn’t justify another perk being overpowered.

I agree selfcare shouldn’t have been nerfed as hard as it was, but either boons in general need changes, or coh needs another nerf. It’s still way too oppressive against the weaker killers.

Boons should not be limited, literally best way to make people never wanna run boons ever again, and last thing we need is to have the meta be stale. No, what we need is what they should have done from the first. Instead of enabling self-healing, CoH should just boost the healing of other survivors by 100%. At least that way, in order to get use from it, multiple people have to go in there.

Self-care nerf got me into the boon game. After playing boons, it really doesn't need a nerf. Multi level is fine, as some levels are maybe 3 square meters.

    Locating totems takes time.

    Booning takes time.

Healing with the boon takes time.

Running back to the boon takes time.

    The boon game is balanced.

making the boon like a hex. spawns at the beginning of the match. make it harder for the killer to hear the boon. make the snuffing of boon like 5 secs. but when it gets taken out then cant reapply the boon. if more than 1 survivor brings a boon then other totems get booned as well.

you can nerf boons however you want. The perk is useless anyway. It takes way too much time (find boon, go to it, actually boon totem and then heal & pray it will not get snuffed) or go all the way thru the map to slowly start healing.

The perk is trash. At this moment IDC how much you nerf it. It's not going to come up in my game anyway.

Medkit with built to last is much much better anyway. Heck even inner healing is much better if you are for some reason afraid of NOED (but that one is a gamble for pentimento).
