Love the game, not the community.

I keep coming back to DBD because it's a great game. Lot of fun, countless hours of playtime to unlock things, different killers, etc. And I keep leaving DBD because of the toxicity after games. I know I don't have to read it, but I usually say GG and hope to have a friendly convo after a game. Before I rant, I would like to say there are many players more skilled than I and I am no stranger to losing, it doesn't bother me (much, lol).

If my cat sits on my keyboard on in front of the screen, I get called EZ. If I take it easy on survivors because of a disconnect at the start of the match, I get accused of struggling the entire game against only three survivors. Seems like the only times I am not insulted after a game is when they legit beat me. Of course the insults get a lot more offensive than that if anyone actually read the logs, but I am not going to repeat those here.

I never insult anyone because I lost and I expect the same sportsmanship in return. It just puts a bad taste in my mouth and then I end up not playing DBD for months. I know people will always be jerks on the internet, but if it's so bad that I quit the game, is it not a legit problem?

At least in games where real pvp exists, you can go wreck them until they quit, but here you have no way of putting them in their place. They just insult to their heart's content and then move on to the next game. Really wish reporting actually did a thing. Or the ability to ban bad players from future games with me. Anything, really. Instead, I will go play something else and give my money to that game.
