2000 hours into Deathslinger, my Killer has no upside.

Middle ground here people. OP says he's the worst killer in the game which is far from true. Others say he's an A-tier killer which he may be, but only in the hands of a tiny fraction of the killer population. For the rest of us, he's a mid-tier killer who in my opinion is pretty solid. I wasn't around for him before his nerf, but I do decent with him and he has a pretty solid place in my rotation. Could he use some help to make him A-tier in the hands of a larger percentage of the population? Sure, but he's not in nearly as bad of shape as other killers, for reasons that have already been pointed out on this thread.

36 meters is pretty generous, and not really that informative. If I have no terror radius or a 16m terror radius with M&A and Whiskey, how are you supposed to tell the difference between me chasing someone else, me patrolling a different nearby gen, or me a split second away from rounding the corner and shooting you?
Whispers doesn't magically make you able to pinpoint a survivor's exact location and action, just that they're "around." Spine Chill is not so different. Knowing that I'm somewhere between 36m away and right behind you breathing down your neck is not terribly helpful, especially since Slinger is uniquely good at approaching gens from strange angles and shooting you off them.
Most Survivors somehow still didn't adapt to 6.1.0.
While matches are harder as Killer on my end, I still run into my fair share of potatoes. If I started to track stats as Demogorgon, I'd also probably have an 80% kill rate or more
True, but I'm still beating survivors with double or triple my total playtime with prestige 40 or prestige 60 when I play Slinger, and those are the people that you would expect to have adapted the most.
It's not that the survivors are bad, nor that I'm really good (I'm pretty mid, would get torn apart by a comp level squad). Slinger is quite simply a very strong killer when you nullify his weaknesses with good perk and add-on choices, and exaggerate his strength by running StBfL.
I say it all the time, but Slinger has a massive amount of potential if someone really good at the game picked him and got good at him. Just everyone looks at him on paper and then no one gives him the time of day. Look at what One Pump Willie did with Sadako, a famously weak killer: he turned her into basically Tombstone Myers with stealth and mobility on top of that. Slinger is a contender for being one of the best killers in the game, imo. Someone better than me just needs to pick up the reins.

I would love his Hellshire Iron add-on to be turned into Hellfire Iron, and have it turn his chain gun into a buckshot incendiary that plays more similar to the Artist. i.e. First shot sets them on fire, and will leave them in deep wound if already injured, second shot downs them if they don't pat themselves out in time--even from full health.

I have some ideas that could make him an actually cool killer, hear me out:
Deathslinger gets a new passive abilty, walking around the map causes the passive to charge up, when it is fully charged and you stop walking, an audio cue like the wild west cowboy fights starts playing, it lasts 5 seconds. After 1 second, every survivor that moves or performs any other action has it's aura highlighted to you until the audio stops playing.
Now that's what I call entertaining gameplay and character immersion. It will really make you feel like a cowboy scouting the area, and that will put survivors in panic mode as they will need to freeze in place.
Or they could just make something like this :
- Whenever you're pulling a survivor and there's a pallet directly between you and him, you will get a very hard skill check. Hitting that skill check will break the pallet and the chain.

Wrong shift w doesnt delete nurse, blight or spirits chase potential.

Lol at Shift + W doesn't work on Slinger. Have you played him on Midwich, Swamp, or Red Forest? I played a game on Midwich recently as Slinger trying to hold a 3 gen. The survivor can see me from the other side of the hallway and can just run downstairs and it would take me 8 hours to catch him. Real fun and engaging gameplay

These aren't pure 1v1 Killers? Their Powers are used for mobility
0 -
During chase they are used for ... chasing.
0 -
But they aren't pure 1v1 Killers.
Deathslinger and Trickster are pure 1v1 Killers

Deathslinger, by all means, was conceptualized as an odd stealth killer. The main issue with that is that the game yet does not reward that playstyle.
Oh sure, you can absolutely get a smooth 4k with stuff like the Cotton Eye Joe build and when done right both sides are having a blast out of the match. But the game mechanics do NOT reward this.

I'm not saying you can't lol I'm saying that's an awful idea against slinger.

Meh, Slinger has his moments. People overblow how bad he is just because he feels stiff to play

Slinger is miles better than Trickster. Any place where Trickster can get a single knife, Deathslinger can get a shot bar behind safe pallets. Trickster is only better at camping which I honestly don't care because I dislike camping. He needs a lot of QoL changes like increased sensitivity while aiming and a 28m TR, but he's not bad at all. As someone who plays Slinger a lot I believe he has the 2nd best chase power in the game, only being behind Nurse.

it took you 2000 hours to realize all of this?

Biggest lie I've ever seen in my entire life.
STBFL isn't good on Demogorgon
1 -
He's definitely not A-tier.
2 -
All you do is blow hot air, my man. Everyone and their mother knows STBFL is good on Demo. You can get a hit with 8 stacks, finish your cooldown, start charging a Shred, then down the survivor before their speed burst is over.
On what planet is a 10 second chase NOT good?
2 -
In which world is going for 8 M1s on a primarily M2 Killer worth it? Tell me you're bad with Shred without telling me
0 -
Like I said, all you do is blow hot air. All you do is say "lol everyone is bad because they aren't doing exactly what I say they should be doing."
Maybe you're just full of it and you should take some time off the internet? Go outside, make some friends? Smoke some weed? idk what to tell you, but you should probably get a life.

I think my man is overdue for a rework. I'd be happy with a 28m TR, making his ADS slightly snappier but not anywhere near where it was before and an add-on pass, completely changing his useless ones. That wouldn't even really move him up a tier. It'd just make him better to play. Maybe he could use a more extensive rework to make him viable in high MMR and I'd welcome that as well.

I honestly just wish he could down people across a pallet if he hooks them.

I dig it

There goes any credibility you had, which was next to nothing considering you unironically think Nurse is balanced.
1 -
I'm sorry you can't hit your Shreds?
What do you want me to say? That I care about you thinking I have any credibility?

He should be buffed yes! His shot sound should be nerfed..can't be fun for people that use headphones? I have tinnitus so can't use that and still that sound..I hate it.
0 -
I don't mean to be rude but can people with tinitus wear headphones and the like? , Like doesn't that dmage the ear more?

I don't think any killers should be less then 115% except Nurse. Seems outdated as hell to me. Myers is 105% speed in tier 1??? Why??? His undetectable status isn't that powerful that it warrants him moving at a snails pace.

Increased lethality via fast M1 into M2 combo seems worth it to me.
I personally pair it with Agitation, and let me tell you, games can turn into a meatgrinder very quickly. Getting hooked and dragged into a dead zone is very bad even with OTR/BT, also it allows you to dismantle teams very quickly.
Demo may primarily be an M2 killer, but I hope you realize that's not all he is? He's also a 115 killer who can teleport with Portals. Being able to quickly appear and threaten to inflict massive damage is great if you ask me.
STBFL makes Demo a very nasty basement defender. Paired with Leprose Lichen, Demo is the only killer in the game who can comfortably "face camp" Basement while simultaneously pressuring Generators. One guy simply cannot make a basement save against a STBFL Demo, and even with the entire team you might be able to make it out....but it's gonna come at a huge price.

I have extremely severe tinnitus from like a decade of shooting guns w/o hearing protection (and that one time my uncle came over with a homemade black powder cannon). Some headsets are fine, others hurt my ears very badly even when they aren't making any noise. Just the electronic signals or white noise or whatever it is. Like how TVs make a sound even when they're turned off but still plugged in.
Cheaper headsets tend to be more comfortable. Like my $20 Wal-Mart headset has lasted me two years, but more expensive headsets tend to be very painful to wear for more than an hour. I also really hate talking on the phone for similar reasons. It makes a static-y sound that hurts.
