Weskers' Special Attack Is Not Giving Chaser Emblem Credit

I'm on PC/Steam and when I use his special only, I never go past Silver. I have to manually chase and hit them with an M1. Just play Wesker. Every match. I've done around 12 matches so far and never get past Silver if I don't M1. Its frustrating. I can't get an adept and I don't want to just M1 all match, either.
