BHVR just killed Hag.
This is a serious matter. Hag is basically powerless right now due to Reassurance preventing survivors from trading hooks early in the game, which is where Hag gets her pressure from, and the 10 sec BT, as it renders Hag useless for 10 seconds. Because the unhooked survivor has speed boost and endurance, they can trigger all of the traps in the area with no resistance from the killer.
When you combine that with off the record and COH, she's effectively useless in any lobby. Hag isn't a chase killer, and it's impossible to catch any survivor in a short period of time. The only advantage Hag has is she can be anywhere else as long as a survivor triggers her traps. But she can't pressure any survivors to do anything without triggering her traps first. She can't waste too much time chasing healthy survivors either.

Hag can be strong when you don't proxycamp the hook as well. Set up a "web" of traps in an area and then you are in control. This is nothing new to what she was before 6.1.0-patch when basically every survivor ran BT.
Hag required map knowledge and time to set up a web.
Watch some videos from Michi (I believe that is their name on Youtube), a Hag-main. You can learn a lot frem those videos.

I know that, but against 4 survivors and the possibility of a decent injured survivor going near trapped places on the map is near impossible. Even if they go down, they'll do it as far away from the traps/gens as possible, and once they know where the safe path is, it's too late to catch them.That's why you need a live bait aka the hooked survivor. I'm a Hag main too.

I personally do great with Hag. I haven't had any issues with her.
I don't really know. Be strategic with those traps, don't just spam some area with it, her power isn't from hook trades or anything like that. I use traps to catch people. Harm one, lead him towards another trap with smart chases downing him, catch another, so on. she is good, but probably doesn't have a fixed strategy to use every game. Hag is more like an adaptive killer

Hag can be fun to play and efficient even without proxy camping or placing traps near the hooks.
Sure, if you're facing a team that knows exactly how to counter her (and who have flashlights) the game is mostly lost from the start, but against most survivor players she can do really well. I do wish she was a bit faster, since she doesn't have any chase power and long chases are time you're not spending placing your web. I feel like she should be a bit faster to compensate for games where you're forced to revert to M1, but that's only my opinion.
I also really like going against her, it's very rare but I like her jumpscare potential.

A Shackle/Ear Hag is really fun especially if you set up traps at or near Gens muwhahahaha they can't hear you coming and don't realize they triggered a trap

I went up against a Shackle/Ear hag last night like @VikingDragonXii mentioned. Safe to say we didn't last long lmao. Always a good jump scare though.

Fact is, people complained about facing nurse for weeks on this forum. Then wesker came out and people complained about only facing wesker. Now this thread has people cherrishing not facing hag anymore, when her pick rate is already extremely low.
We need more variety. Not less. All killers should be viable and fun to play as.

Only thing annoying is the survivor behavior around hags traps. My teammates usually run over the traps, even when they saw me crouching from a safe distance. She has one of the best addon variety. That allows for vastly different playstyles. Which is a great thing. As ideally a survivor would encounter different challenges through those addons.

Hit a nerve? No. I just believe it is unnecessary to bring up Nurse in a rare Hag-thread.
Also, my point stands. People are allowed to dislike more than 1 killer.
I agree with you that we need more variety, all killers should be viable and fun to play as AND fun to verse :)

This is exactly how I play her. 'Roaming' Hag is very solid, but CI might as well be basekit.
She's not the force of nature she once was, but that's okay - she's still 'A' tier.
I'm always surprised when I watch even good players on Hag, they're always floating like 7 traps.
Spam those out, cut the map into pieces and have one in every strong structure/high traffic area and she shreds.
That said:
'I don't like playing against this killer so I hope she sucks and becomes unplayable' isn't exactly fair on the people who do like playing her.

IMO, CI is not nerfed unless you choose to nerf it yourself. It is the same if you just mind your own business and take your time to set up traps.

I just brought her up, since how the forum behaved the last weeks.
Of course. People are allowed to go on "oh no, its a XXX". Nothing bad in that. But disliking a killer and being happy to only face a killer once per month are 2 different things. I can dislike playing against Trapper. But i would miss playing against him.
In regard of Hag being useless with the new changes. I´d say that she just requires a different approach now. Different addons, different spots for traps, different tactics. A Hag main will surely adapt.

I'm finding her stronger than before, but I never camp and generally don't put traps under hooks (people always expect them).
The major 'nerf' to Hag was CoH, which - yes, gives her a lot of trouble.
I run her with:
CI - Gives me time to trap the hell out of half the map.
Pain Resonance - Excellent regression.
Devour Hope - Gets people running around.
Monitor And Abuse - Tiny TR, I can set up traps quite close to people or sneak up on them.
My goal is to trap the hell out of a large portion of the map, then circle around with Monitor and drive them into the traps. Works like a charm, and I often get 'wow, the first good Hag I've seen' comments.

Also, one of Hag's strengths is that very few play her so survivors often lack counterplay ability xD

A killer shouldn't be designed around camping. If Hag is truly that weak after this patch (which I doubt), then by all means rework her.

It might be unfair, but I can't tell the last time I didn't see a camping hag who also trapped the hook "just in case"
Don't expect one side to be nice to the other. If the other isn't nice either

Honestly, good, Hag is extremely obnoxious to play against. Easily my least favorite killer to verse. "Let's design a killer who can camp and tunnel from basically across the map". Like, PH can't make his trials by hooks, artist can't leave crows by them either, but Hag? Lemme just put this trap (or 2, or 3) right by this hook. If reassurance counters her hook camping then I'm glad. Stop putting traps by hooks and place them on loops and you'll get more value.
As for COH, yeah I got nothing. But COH hurts a lot of killers hard too so it's not a Hag specific issue. As for OTR, if you didn't tunnel the person off the hook but you hit them after they triggered a trap sometime later that would mean they weren't doing gens that entire time, which is a good thing.

You would see way more complaints about Hag if she would be more popular to play. But luckily she is also very unfun to play, so despite her being one of the strongest Killers, she is very rare.

This seems like a you problem. You based your entire play style on camping and tunneling and now got a direct nerf from the latest patch and you’re feeling the effects. Maybe adapt, like killer mains have been telling survivor mains recently.

Literally Hags that use their power around hooks are boring af to go against. I wouldn’t mind seeing that aspect of her get destroyed and maybe her getting a couple of buffs in other things.

Kind of makes sense considering she is just a camping machine that no one enjoys going against.
When people say they want more variety in the killers they face, they don't mean more terrible options that are insufferable to go against.

I would argue that COH killed Hag back in October.
I recently played against Lisa on Midwitch on all places, and she actually ran Nurses, but me and another random had COH and I also had distortion and there was literally nothing she could do about it, we kept pushing gens getting hit and just healing in COH, the match lasted so long because at no point she was able to snowball which is what Hag does the best out of most of the cast

In my six plus years of playing Dead By Daylight I've maybe seen one Hag that refused to trap the hook.
More often than not, it's multiple traps.
Are you living in some fantasy world insinuating this is not how Hag is played?
