Steam/pc platform. (dont think that matters)
If you put wire-tap on a generator at the exact same time that the generator is completed, wire-tap will stay on the generator for the full duration and cannot be removed.
I do not have a video or anything but I can assure you that if done correctly it works every time. I found it by mistake when I fat-fingered.

Can confirm it works in a different way too. My friend had a gen wiretapped, and I used Repressed Alliance on it the exact second the last generator popped (different generator) and the wiretap stayed on for the full duration after.
