Hi everyone at behavior! so.. I have chosen to wait till now before I said anything about the Upgraded killer patch and quality of life patch. Mainly because every patch needs some time to adjust too and see just how good or bad it really is. I will admit I have really enjoyed some of the meta shake ups! It really was needed to bring new life into the game. So here comes my but comment... lol.

This patch has laid a magnifying glass over some major issues within Dead by Daylight. One.. some of the community is like a barrel of toxic sludge. Two Camping and tunneling have become far more common and terrible within the lower ratings of mmr for survivors. I Am a average player in the game, I enjoyed playing it in the past but with these new changes it has made people who enjoy playing survivor but are not above average to good at running killers just fail. Map knowledge, how to run a jungle gym, Gen knowledge of placement and how not to 3 gen your self. Are just the tip of what survivors need to know and its become well... want to live longer then get good. Sadly that is the state for average players. I mean its really making players who like me are average either quit or study guides treat it like a test exam and just become monster survivors. I like to casually play I dont want to have to become some giant monster of a survivor just to have casual fun.

I could put forth ideas of what I think could be done to help with this. But at the end of the day I am not a game dev, nor have any clue how to balance an asymmetrical competition game. So at the end of the day all I can say is for me, tunneling has gotten worse, camping to proxy camping has gotten worse, killers who decide that any survivor who gives them any trouble needs to be continually hit on hook gotten worse. I've even had a deathslinger shoot me several times while I was down when I was on Detective Tapp. You cant police people I completely understand that. It will be absolutely impossible to remove toxic play style from any competitive game. However for me and several other people I know its becoming less fun to play. And some are either quitting or playing killer only. To anyone who reads this I know the saying is its not my responsibility to make sure the other side has fun. You are absolutely RIGHT. However it does not mean that you should SUCK THE FUN out of the game for the other side. Sincerely a fan who hopes things get better.
