Hex's should not be touchable till killer enters chase
One of the biggest problem for me as killer, is that I feel deterred from taking any single hex perks. Unless I take a hex build. Hex's are so rng and In the boon meta where everyone and there friend take a totem finding perk. It is often the case where within 30 seconds of a game starting my ruin or devour hope is gone before I got any value. And I am now down a entire perk cause my totem spawned out in the open ten feet from survivor spawn.
My main idea of fixing this outside of changing totem spawn, is till the killer enters there first chance hex's can not be cleansed. This will allow killers the ability to put pressure on survivors time to protect it if across the map. Or waste some of there time while there waiting to enter chase to cleanse.
The main point is that killer need to be able to gain some value. As of now it's all or nothing, you get a god spawn or it's gone. Protecting it won't save the hex in long run. If survivor knows it's location. It will be done. But at least you can get something from it.

Problem is that sometimes spawn RNG works out so that you literally don't have enough time to walk to the hex in a straight line as soon as you spawn in before it gets cleansed

Exactly. And there is no real way to fix this thru rng. Cause the. Survivor could as easily figure it out based on spawn. If they knew mechanics of non true rng.

When I first played the game back in 2017, my initial assumption (before I'd played much or watched any content) was that the killer spawned into the match, and could see the dull totems. Then they would go choose one and place the hex manually.
It's definitely unfair that a survivor can spawn and cleanse a hex before you can literally even walk to it, doesn't seem right.
Not sure what the correct fix could be. I just don't use hexes (unless on Trapper or Hag).
