Wesker was the right way to make a killer scary
Might be an unpopular opinion or maybe just because it's a newer killer still but I think Wesker is one of the scaries or at least nervewracking killers to play against and most importantly in a fun way! I know they tried to make the game scary again using the Dredge nightfall but instead of being scary, it's just an eyesore really.
And what makes Wesker maybe the scariest killer to play against isn't even his power but the massive terror radius and the imposing/powerful music. Even before you're in chase, the music is very ominous/threatening.
While the stealth killers can give you good scares and make you alert of your surroundings, I think the fact that you can hear him from so far away makes him scary, especially on smaller maps where you might be able to hear him almost the whole time.
I just think it's one of the most fun killers to play against currently and I hope BHVR will make more killers that give you that same feeling of dread you got in the first few matches you ever played.

I've always wanted larger terror radii in the game, as survivor, killers can feel less like a looming threat and more like a travelling problem. Wesker's TR is great, and I hope they find a way to increase all TRs at some point (Although Doctor and Starstruck would need adjustments if so)

yeah i agree, unless you have spinechill his big terror radius allmost make me on edge especially since he can cover like 1/3 of certain maps at a time
