Unhook Spam griefing
A quick google search shows this has been a complaint for some time now.
Survivors can spam the unhook action on other survivors that are on 2nd stage repeatedly. This holds the hooked survivor hostage in game. It's an easy way for players that want to troll others and is extremely toxic.
I get that during unhook situations with the killer nearby you sometimes have to spam it to trick the killer into swinging but after say like 5 it's unnecessary. Killer usually swings on 2nd or 3rd attempt.
Some suggestions:
Implement it so that survivors can't unhook after x amount of attempts.
Make it so after a certain amount of attempts the game removes BP from them.
Make it so after a certain amount of attempts killer gets loud noise notification.
Whatever it takes, the devs need to try and remove the tools that trolls and griefers need to continue this sort of Toxic behavior.

A really simple fix would be so that the hook timer doesn't pause while unhooking - or if the intent is that you can save absolute last-second survivors, then the first unhook attempt pauses it, but subsequent unhooks don't pause the timer.
That, or after you've done it like fifteen times, you get a cooldown where you can't perform the action for x seconds (because you could kill a player by preventing anyone else from unhooking them.)
I didn't know it even functioned like that, but that's a huge oversight.

Real easy: just make it so holding shift (sprint) while hooked prevents an unhook by a teammate (same as when a survivor wants to reject healing). Particularly annoying when you want to use your earned Deliverance.

Both great points!
I really like idea that you can hold the (sprint) input and deny an unhook the same way you can deny a heal.

Actually I like it - great way to make sure trolls die on hook. Just saying - works both ways.

If that's the case, a Troll can use it to make sure another survivor dies on hook.
If it works to punish a bad survivor it can be used on an "innocent" survivor, hence why it shouldn't be in game.
I understand that's why some people do it, and I agree that people suiciding on the hook sucks. I also hate it when people do that
but it can be used for no good reason. Just to grief and troll, and that's not good.
As you said, reassurance is a great way to prevent dying on the hook.
