NOED prerequisite idea
Similar to how No Way Out requires multiple hooks to get maximum value I feel like Hex: No One Escapes Death should come with some sort of prerequisite
Maybe something along the lines of “every survivor you hook becomes cursed, once all generators are completed all cursed survivors suffer from the exposed status effect”
This would not only discourage tunnelling but make the perk a lot more skill based with counter play from good survivors, i.e you want all survivors exposed? Hook everyone at least once. Zero hooks all game? No one is exposed.
A change like this would make the perk much more healthy as it wouldn’t effect good killers who are using the perk for a strong endgame build, it would only punish bad killers who rely on it
Also just for the record I play about 60/40 killer- survivor with a slight bias towards killer before I’m accused of hating killers.

In my opinion you need to earn it rather than getting it for free when gens get done. You can be afk all game and still win because of it (a Myers did this to me and other 3 survivors, all solo). He was pretending to be afk but then kill us all because of NOED.
Let's make it so you need 6 hooks to unlock this perk. I see too many killers playing poorly and rely on it for end game.
While I believe it's very easy to get rid of it, a lot of "noob" killers use it. You can see the noed coming when killer has 3 hooks and all gens are done. I just want killers to earn that NOED.
I also believe that the recent nerf to NOED where you can see its aura is very stupid. "Here's the totem, go break it".

If survivors went from AFK killer to 4K, that is 100% on the survivors LOL

Yeah because we were all with our brains turned off since all gens got done and he was afk. We were all around the killer and pointing at him. He stayed intentionally afk all game just to kill us all at the end because of noed, which is dumb.

Yeah especially after the nerd if you get 4k only by noed that's the survivors fault

then whats the reason to run NOED over devour, devour needs 3 hooks not 6 and also oyu can mori at 4. 6 hooks in you likely have at least 1 survivor killed so unless youre on 1 gen by that point you have a good shot of killing everyone before the last gen pops.

Was it noed or did you stand around taunting an infinite T3 Myers while he stalked you all out?
I've done that before, insidious plus tombstone and you stand there till all the survivors run around in your face taunting you, most of the time they don't even notice the tier ups and then you pop T3 and kill them all.
Its a novelty you do once or twice and then move on.

ah well it pays not to taunt an afk killer, just smash out the gens and escape.
I mean in that scenario NOED shouldn't get the killer any kills or one at most if everyone just plays as they normally would.

NoeD is fine as is. High risk with high reward. Now that it got nerfed with the totems aura reveal, it’s more than fine.
Killer plays most of the match with three perks and now survivors can easily find the totem when it procs. No need to change anything.

This is the change I wanted for NOED, not the "by the way, your totem is a glowstick." All I want is it to not serve as a crutch for people who can barely catch anyone during the game, or as a mop-up for facecamping Bubbas.
I'd be fine with its effects working off number of hooks rather than individual survivors, though, and I think that's a better solution in light of hiders or survivors that just weren't good ideas to chase. Like if you got 5 hooks, everyone's Exposed and you have the 4% speed boost, but if you only got 2 hooks, you get 7s aura read when the last gen pops instead of Exposed, and if it was 1 hook, they just scream instead.

I'd like it better if it activated after hook states, had a one time Mori effect and told the survivor they were cursed or something like that.
That way the survivors have an incentive to cleanse dull totems. That would give the Killer some slowdown.
Currently, there's no reason to actually cleanse dulls other than Boldness BP. Other than that and Tome challenges, it's a waste of time to cleanse dull totems instead of gens.
NOED was always a mediocre perk really only useful for new Killers to jump their MMR to where they only get 2 or 3 hooks, if that, a game and watch NOED get cleansed in less than a minute. A rework similar to what I mentioned would help reduce Killers getting thrown into a higher MMR than they should have and give an actual reason to cleanse dulls.

I cant believe people are still complaining about this perk after the change. NOED is perfectly fine now! Coming from a 100% survivor main!

If you "just smash gens" you depip/dont earn anything due to lack of interaction
To earn evader and altruism you have to hang near the afk killer and let him hit you so your team can heal u and repeat

yeah but the pip system is flawed in that way.
Personally when you have an afk killer standing around potentially waiting for endgame I go and clear all the totems. You have all the time in the world to find em. Then just finish the gens and move on.

Plus you have teammates that sometimes genrush anyway so

You don't risk cleansing dulls until endgame. Forget NOED. You never know when pentimento is in play. I rather risk NOED AND active plaything then pentimento.
