The Mori Update seems like Endgame Collapse
To me at least, it seems like the Mori Update is tailored to making 3v1 and 2v1 games end quicker. The Killer can't stall out the game forever or slug for the 4k. It basically just forces the Killer to end it if they have a big advantage.
Its a big nerf to slugging, but it seems like the goal is similar to the endgame collapse: making the game end when its basically over by removing stalling.

From someone who is constantly being bled out for the whole purpose of wasting time, or being constantly slugged for the 4k for the entire timer, this slugging nerf is a blessing

I don't know why, but you sould like it's a bad thing. =)
I really think it's a good idea for such situations when killer slugging third survivor to find and kill last one without triggering a hatch.
