Taking away mori from Rancor/Devour hope is bad
Period.
Same for memento mori offerings.
one measly mori if you tryhard for 4k is not the same as up to 4 mories because you made a perk work/brought in an offering that replaced last hooks with a cool animation.
There's no real reason for taking away mori aspect from these perks and offerings apart from "no fun allowed".
Moreover, the replacements are either weak or straight up nothing.
Devour hope now has even more chances of not giving you value for 5th token because by the time you bring survivor to the hook, the totem might be broken. There's endless amount of clips where a person gets a down with 5 tokens, starts a mori and totem is broken instantly, but they still proceed because the mori can't be interrupted. It was cool and intense, now it's gone.
Rancor straight up got nothing, even the ######### "survivor is instantly sacrificed". 5 seconds aura reading on the obsession won't do much for most killers and it will work only once.
Memento mories are a joke. Ebony Ultra-rare mori gives two times less bloodpoints than a yellow offering in a good match. Not even counting other mories.
Please undo these particular changes.

I wonder if this is about slightly buffing certain survivor perks (power struggle, ds, etc) or if it's about defining moris as a game finisher. Either way I'm going to be a little upset if Rancor and Devour Hope aren't kept the same.

Maybe if Rancor had literally any sort of counterplay, I'd agree. DH on the other hand really has not changed that much, it's still pretty much an instant kill while being exposed.

I've been vocal about not liking the Devour change on the subject of it being less stylish. Getting 5 stacks of devour is one of the best feelings in the game because you earned it and get to close the game out in style. As a survivor, I feel much better about getting killed without being hooked by a devour user than being hooked and facecamped until death, and it's fun seeing the mori used in a non-offering sense.
While the innate power of Devour isn't being changed with the tentative plans, the style is gone. Just hook and let everyone watch the same old animation they see every time they die normally. It's so much more boring, and when Devour is predominately played as a style perk, I don't think it's a good change. Its function is being kept, why not let it keep the style?

this is the BIGGEST example of no fun allowed i have ever seen the developers do on this game and it actually makes me sad that they even put this to the test realm and considered ruining these fun perks.
The perks are not meta, they are not even that good, they were just fun perks. I honestly feel insulted they even want to test these changes. Havnt played this game in a month or two and definitely not coming back.

I don't understand removing it from the perks, to me those should be treated the same as the Sadako/Pyramid Head/Myers special moris that are staying in the game. Devour Hope the survivors die instantly anyway when hooked so may as well give killer choice between hook or mori.
I can understand removing the cypress mori offering since that is now basekit, the other two though required 2 hooks on a survivor so seems unnecessary to remove them - they actual encourage multiple hooks so should stay in the game to do that. Cypress should be only one getting a change to reward extra BP for finale mori, the rest should remain the same.

Yeah devour hope and rancor will drop in usage significantly.. im sad to see it go it was such a staple

Yeah, rancor is a huge undeserved nerf.
Moreover I am worried we all will be bored pretty soon of moris. RN you see a mori every now and then, once in 20 games, if every time a killer downs the last one will trigger a mori we will see them way too much.
