Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

sabo QoL

would be nice if the CD on sab didn't start until we actually sabo the hook. many a times I try to heal but end up saboing the hook, meaning I have to wait for it to come back, would also go for nice b8 plays, start to sabo a hook, killer turns, you stop. and then run to another hook and actually sabo that one

The cooldown is fine the way it is. You should be punished for getting hit mid-sabotage and it’s going to be even stronger with basekit UB coming.

What they should do though is change it to use the active ability button instead of M1, so accidental sabotages when trying to heal can’t happen.

Saboes QoL is long being overlooked. 6.1 balance changes destroying timing is overlooked. Description being wrong on timing. Accidental sabotages. Charges during sabo are consumed immediatelly from toolbox, but stop saboing for 1ms and everything resets. And then there are maps that are totally unfriendly to sabotage plays.

It's like devs really didn't like this mechanics. And it might be so

    No it is not fine.

Sometimes you want to heal the survivor right under the hook after unhooking and since Sabo uses the same input (M1 on PC) the hook can vacuum you right in and make you try to sabo it and then you're stuck on cooldown.

It's a crap perk as it is.

If a hook is actually sabotaged then you should get the 90/75/60 second cooldown. If the hook isn't sabotaged then it should incur a 5 second cooldown, just enough to stop the survivor from being able to take a hit and still get the sabo off when the killer is trying to hook while carrying.
