We deployed a fix to solve an issue preventing players from unhooking, healing or picking up Survivors. Players will need to reboot to see the change reflected in-game. Thank you for your patience!

Please rework Franklin.

Okay, so, I'll start by saying I don't think it's a strong perk.

But by a large margin, it is the most frustrating perk to play against. I really really do not want to face it over any other perk. Get 4 slowdown perks I don't care as long as I don't face this abomination.

it just feels needlessly frustrating to be happy bringing a very rare item just to have it destroyed without warning.

Can't it just render unable to use items for a long time? Even two minutes would be fair? Even more?

Or could it just make it drop without losing charges, and add another secondary effect?

Hag for example needs Franklin's cause even one flashlight can render her power null so if we change Franklin's we need to change hags traps but then survs will say they have not enough counterplay etc

You could use Built to Last to recharge the item. You can always pick the item up and leave with it to keep the very rare item.

Anything other than having Franklins drain charges makes it kind of useless, because the main point of the perk is to counter items and the only way to do that is to drain an item charges so it's eventually unusable.

There was a variant that destroyed the item after a 90 seconds, but it was also fairly useless because picking up the item at all stopped the timer and since no charges were lost it basically didn't stop item use.

To be clear, I want Franklin to be buffed, not nerfed. The perk is terrible as it is. But the effect is very annoying.

Franklins is very useful against teams with multiple medkits or toolboxes. Currently dropping a chase with a medkit user is just a waste of time because they'll heal back up in seconds. But, if you're chasing a medkit user and get a hit in. You can now switch targets later because their medkit is dead.

If you want to counter franklins, here's what you do. You drop your item somewhere easy to reach. Like shack. When you need said item, come back for it. If the killer is about to hit you and you're going to go down, drop the item. Now your item doesn't deplete while you're on hook.

This doesn't really work for flashlights, but to be completely honest flashlights are terrible and not worth running franklins other than to troll.

I do, however, think that Pinhead should NOT get the box because of franklins. That is stupidly strong and completely takes away the entire risk of chasing someone with the box. You just need one hit now. You can literally snowball like crazy with just franklins and hoarder.

    Crying about Franklin?

Why not cry to delete the game while you're in it as a kid?

I think Franklins is good how it is. Some killers need this, for example if u play Hag and see flashlights in the lobby.

    I wouldnt change this perk.

Honestly I'd love to have a wrist strap addon which prevents it, or even a perk perhaps.

I agree, though honestly by the same token, if you don't escape you lose your item. What's that you brought a White Ward to keep your item on death? Ooops, killer has Franklin's. You lost your item AND wasted a Rare offering. IMO, maybe it's time to buff the White Ward to let you keep the item and addons you were last carrying (maybe as long as it wasn't carried out by another survivor.) Because honestly while I don't mind Franklin's overall, when I bring a White Ward and the killer has Franklin's and I don't escape, well... that's what I hate about Franklin's.

I'd be fine with Franklins no longer taking the item away (so you can still keep it if you escape the match) as long as it stripped all the charges off after 1-2 hits.
