Overcharged should not have gotten nerfed

(TL:DR: overcharged should be buffed back to the ptb version so that killers aren't required to run 4 gen perks)

I played so many games as killer where gens just pop and I can't do anything about it. when I have the ability to do something I either get high levels of lag or auto aim keeps redacting my hits.

For reference I usually play killers like doctor and Wesker. I play on the ps5 and I never really use many add-ons.

recently I've been getting games where I get impossible situations which makes every game feel like I'm playing against hackers.

I've tried using stronger perks and stronger add-ons but I really hate using add-ons and I usually consider it as an unskillful action.

A good example of the types of builds I try to use was this one overcharged, call of brine, sloppy butcher, and nurses calling. I used it once on trapper and received a 4k in a difficult match and tired it on other killers. It went well at first but eventually survivors were getting gens done in just seconds despite the fact they didn't have any gen perks.

With this in mind it brought me back to the meta shake up and how overcharged was nerfed for live when this was announced I was quite annoyed since I knew back then that it was a bad change.

The point of the meta shake up was to make the game more playable for all killers not just nurse. So it would of been practical for the devs to make it so that killers aren't required to run 4 perks just to make sure the gens didn't pop.

If overcharged would of stayed the same it would of made killer finally powerful enough to properly defend the gens and allow for the killer to run additional perks in order help in other aspects such as chase or healing which are just as bad as gens.

With all of this to say my final statement is that killers are still struggling with gens and survivors are just as powerful as they were before the meta changes and most issues could be solved by making individual perk more powerful alone.

Here's the thing they nerfed all the Gen slowdown perks because they increased the Gen repair time. The bad part is they didn't touch Gen repair speed perks and now survivors are running speed perks so Killers that don't stack slowdown perks then Gens will pop just as fast as before.

Overcharge is still good. The PTB version was ridiculously overpowered.

I'd focus on your gameplay itself. It sounds like that's where the issues lie. One or two slowdowns is fine. If you find yourself needing more than that on a consistent basis, you have deeper issues elsewhere in regards to gameplay. Slapping more slowdowns on top of slowdowns will cover that up in the short term, but it won't make you a better killer in the long run. Make sure you're running tiles correctly, have your spawn points down for early game, patrol sensibly and efficiently, etc.

I'm sure someone will chime in about how I must play on a magical server where every survivor sucks while everyone else plays on servers full of absolute gods, but I get by with just Corrupt/Pain Res at most and have a win rate well over 80% on every killer.

If they revert the overcharge nerf killers would still stack them with more slow downs. It'd be like a forever Freddy game with any killer.

Stopping gen repair is also not just down to giving you a perk that does the work for you with a kick. You stop gens by not giving survivors time to repair them, by forcing them to pick up slugs or unhook, heal, and be in chase. I'd work on ending chases quicker if I were you. If you main Doctor you should be good at denying pallet drops and zoning and forcing side objectives like snapping out of madness and Wesker is another killer that once mastered has decent map control, and chase ending potential with his power and is good at forcing survivors to do side objectives like using the healing spray.

If you legitimately think killers still have to run 4 slowdowns, maybe you should take a step back to see if you're actually playing well.
