This Halloween can we keep the blight serum addon for killers active for good?

Similar to how the addon for medkits for survivors is never deactivated, I don't think the Blight Serum addon for killers should be deactivated. It offers no advantage whatsoever and is purely a meme addon.

I see zero reasons why it needs to be deactivated for each Halloween, and if so, why keep the addon for survivors available? If it was overpowered, yes, but it works against most killers' powers, so why deactivate it?

I think these addons&items should be available all year long on top of that.

I never liked the idea behind that - time limited addons that actually change the gameplay.

If devs re-add these features, that must mean they are in an acceptable balance state, so why not just make them available for everyone who would enjoy running them.

Like, it's okay that event-themed items for survivors are limited because they are just re-skinned default items, but refined or blighted serum should stay because they add new gameplay options

Agreed, its silly to me that they deactivate them like it just adds more options to the game. I never really understood why they deactivated them in the first place and I honestly have never seen anyway complain about the Blight Serums in the first place, at least the one for killers lol. I am sure everyone thinks its hilarious when all a sudden a bubba does a blight rush towards them.

No clue why they deactivate the serum for killer, but don't deactivate the survivor items. It's just bizarre. Neither should be deactivated at all, but it's strange they went to the trouble of specifically disabling one side. My only idea is that they are concerned about how it might work with killers as they are being released.

I agree entirely it's bizarre to me, and I wish they just allowed it to be a thing. It is not a strong addon and I have never, throughout all my time playing that game seen anyone complain about it at all, I'm sure there have been people, but if so it is definitely very rarely done. I think it's one of the most April Fools Esq addons ever created just with how absurd it is.

I'm not really completely sure about that because it's not like the new killers will instantly have access to blight serums unless their release date is during the Halloween event, but they already managed to make it work with Wesker, so I don't know about that. Though then again, I always forget when the subsequent killer releases, but I'm pretty sure it's after the Halloween event, so I don't think they are all that concerned about new releases functioning with blight serums, or maybe I just misinterpreted what you meant.

yeah and not like licensing and "keeping characters identity" is a problem because in that case these addons won't be available in the first place for such characters

They're probably nervous about having to worry about "broken" and un-intended interactions between killers powers(low risk here, probably just bugs) and potentially new perks. The medkit does not provide anything new whatsoever whereas new perks might do x or y that is broken/too strong with the dash available. Similar to their old logic of why so many perks had the "if a survivor loses a health state via a basic attack". They don't want to constantly have to keep the offering in the back of their mind I imagine. Not saying it's a super great reason, but it is a reason to not want to keep a limited time acquisition item available forever.

I wouldn't mind at all if killers kept their addons for after the event. They aren't infinite and I for one would find a random clown or Micheal suddenly gaining hyper speed in a normal game, freaking hilarious, even if I died.

I agree. At the least enable them permanently in KYF.

Nah, it adds more randomness to the matches; they should all be deactivated for both sides.

It's fun as it lasts during an event, other than that it loses its touch.

I would actually love to have the serum in the blood web normally. All though most people wont like it cause its more clutter in the blood web that could be a good brown addon I would say have it as either a toggleable feature or exclusively have like an "outter reaches" of the blood web that holds the serum.
