New kill rate stats for killers (including top 5% MMR)
Sadako out performing most killers at top MMR 😂 The difference with Nurse between the two is not surprising though.
Here is a break down of the percentages of kill rates and pick rates at both MMR levels;

I'd be interested to know if Sadako's kill rate changed significantly in the last couple months or if she's always been around the top. I wonder if the popularity of her condemned build being spread has increased her numbers, or if she was just always somewhat around there (relative to the recent killer buffs).

wait... sadako is actually good?
12 -
Freddy and Sadako play about the same so I'm not surprised. Same with the nurse. I'd like to see them do this with survival rates though. At least a breakdown of survival rates between top MMR and everyone else.

Weren't people claiming ti would be lower on high MMR and higher on low MMR last times the stats were shared? Really surprised it's the inverse.

Someone on The Twitter made this point about Sadako and I'm curious if it's true.
Basically she's Opposite Nurse. Instead of a ton of people trying to play her and the noobs getting stomped brining her numbers down, only a handful of VERY good killers actually use Sadako so her numbers are far more inflated than you'd expect just because she doesn't have a bunch of noobs pulling her numbers down.

No wonder why we never see buffing Sadako since she has good winrate. I quess I should stop dreaming about some good buffs for her at this point.

Nerf pig

This stats complete killed any hope for Sadako Buffs, 61% in high MMR? Surprise.
8 -
I'm surprised Bubba is so low at top MMR.
2 -
Curious how top MMR has actually a substantially higher killrate. I guess we're going to still ask for more killer buffs, though
14 -
Iri Videotape is a pretty cracked addon. Then you have condemn strats that have gotten more popular recently.
Basically she can cheese out kills ignoring hooks so I can't say I'm too surprised to see her having a high killrate.
3 -
At least we have official confirmation that all the player made tier lists are garbage.
Nurse isn’t over performing even at the top 5% of MMR. In fact, she is lumped in with half of the killer roster, where they are all within the same 2% kill rate range.

Just gonna add this:
The exact percentages, in alphabetical order

I am so confused by this statistic.
But then again BHVR already told us not to just look at those killrates and assume things. I guess that still holds true...
And now to throw all of that out of the window, here are my assumptions:
- The top killers are those who punish uncoordinated teams. Plague, Cenobite and Oni all do that. A single hit can let a good Oni snowball the entire game, a single chain-hunt can end the game for Cenobite and cleansing at the wrong time fuels Plague.
- Plague is high because she counters healing, a very strong mechanic. Medkits mean nothing for her.
- For top players on the Killer side mobility is a huge asset. Thus Dredge, Onryou, Nurse and Blight are up there.
- Mastermind is new so the numbers are inflated until survivors get the hang on him. Also his iridecent add-on that lets everybody start infected is pretty much too strong right now.
The overall killrate seems to have settled at ~60%. This is what BHVR was aiming for.
However I would like to see how many of those games were 4ks/3ks and how many were 2k/1k. After all an early kill almost guarantees you a 3/4k as a killer while most of my survivor matches result in 2-3 escapes when we make it to 2-1 generators without anybody getting killed...

all i ask for is for maps to be balanced and boring underwhelming killers to be reworked, is that too much 😭😭

I guess Sadako isn’t bad after all.
4 -
People who play sadako are generally really good. they can make good use out of the hit and run playstyle even if she is a really crappy m1 killer.
4 -
when solo queue is this bad? yeah, imho.
they should have done the changes you mentioned should've been 6.1.0 and not what they did,now the game's really put of whack

Good to know. Appreciate the response, thank you.

I know there's this really good sadako streamer, forgot his name though

Without the usage rates, the numbers are out of context. Sadako for example may have a very low usage rate but the few people who do use her, over-perform. Same thing with Freddy (speaking as a former Freddy main). The character is generally garbage, but you can still get results if you really want to fight through the struggle lol. - not worth it hence why I'm a Wesker main now.

@Peanits I do love these stats, the only issue I have with the "avg kill rate" is that the difference between a 3k and a 4k is negligible, considering it all comes down to "do I want to try hard and slug or just play the next game?" for the killer.
I would be interested to see stats that instead of showing the "kill rates" show the percentage of games with at least a 3K.

Artist being kinda low in top 5% surprises me the most

A percentage is a fraction of 100, so, for example, Sadako's 61% kill rate means that she kills 61 out of 100 survivors (I TOLD YOU! I ######### TOLD YOU ALL!).
So if you take that number and subtract it from 100, you get the survival rate for that killer, which is 39/100, or 39%. Look here for more information: https://study.com/academy/lesson/percentages-lesson-for-kids.html

Poor Evan, the true OG killer is getting the most tbags in the game. Sad.

Just take a look at Twins...those two Twin players must put in some damn good work there...
This reminds me of looking at the statistics from magic, warhammer or something like that where you would think "oh hey, that army/deck is pretty balanced at 55% winrate" only to then realize that those 55% were only so low because they included all the mirror matches of an fraction was played by everybody and their uncle...
I just imagine around ten Sadako players with around 1000-5000 hours into the game finishing most of their matches with a 4k while playing only 5-10 games a day fueling this statistic...

I think there's a bit of Peter Principle involved with killer. And players forget that matchmaking can accommodate a range of +/-350 MMR. So a killer might face great survivors while simply being ok/decent themselves and think they must be at high MMR themselves if that's who they're facing. But if a killer is actually at that top 5% or higher skill level, they'll perform well.

As a Nurse counterplay truther, I have my popcorn ready.
3 -
I'd like to see HOW MANY players are in 5% for each killer. Of course, Sadako CAN have such w/r for top 5%, but it should be like 10 golden Sadako players vs 1000 Blight players with the same result.
And I bet, all those 60% for Twins is from two (three max) dedicated mains. All others didn't make it to top 5% mmr lol
1 -
She's a difficult killer to master

Sadako is one of my favorite killers to main. People think it's just brute force or speed that makes a killer good, when it really comes down to mind games.
Sadako + Mind Games = Good Strategy
1 -
Ah, so it's taken into account here. Cool. 😎

Cheers! Have a great day.

Onepumpwilly . I hate him because he made light of a really boring and downright frustrating but effective Sad-ako strategy
5 -
Slaydako Yassamura strikes again
6 -
Good data that debunks a lot of killer mains' narratives
"Low mmr inflates killrates" "Pig/Sadako is weak" etc
Wesker needs nerfs. I hope it's pretty clear to devs and won't take much time to make changes
6 -
New killers are usually top of the kill rate charts. You wait a couple of months. Wesker will drop down.
7 -
I love how everyone in this thread is trying to hard to cope with Sadako's 5% statistics with comments like, "Oh, but that's probably just because there are ten good Sadako players in higher MMR, but then there are 1000 bad Blight players" or whatever.
Did you all miss the part where she's one of the top-performing killers in all MMRs? Is it possible that you were just wrong, and Sadako is actually a decent killer to begin with?
18 -
Nurse won't have a high kill rate because most people just DC on her now.
0 -
I wonder how these stats are effected by survs DCing and killing themselfes on first hook. Seems a lot, i guess.
0 -
In short if you can't achieve at least a 61% kill rate at high MMR then you are just bad at playing killer. Pretending like you go against comp teams every match is nothing but a cope.
7 -
Speaking of debunking narratives, Nurse is a lower kill rate than Sadako both at high MMR and overall. I guess that means all the calls for Nurse nerfs are just hyperbole. Nurse is fine.
6 -
It never fails to surprise me just how wrong our community is about everything in this game.
Time to accept that we are the ones who don't know the game
11 -
Cool, although it would be even cooler to see (per-killer) kill rates represented as a curve through the entire MMR range, not just the "top 5%" bracket. That would highlight a lot of things, including which of the killers can even reach the highest MMR realms.
It would also be neat to see kill rates separated by solo, duo, trio and quad groups.
1 -
I like how Trapper is 56% on both charts but it places him in slightly different spots.
Edit to add - he's one killer I'd like to see broken down by each level of MMR to see how consistent his kill rate is. Would be interesting if it's 56% across the board.
1 -
There’s several things that are questionable about the data. Like how mmr is calculated to begin with? We all know there’s more to skill then kills and escapes but we believe that’s how skill is rated so ‘high’ mmr might not mean anything whatsoever. After all we know how wildly inconsistent a players skill level can be one game from the next. How many games are played with each killer? Low amounts of games means not enough data.
Someone else pointed out the fact a lot of the higher end killers are ones that punish a lack of coordination. So swf vs solo is a thing too not put into this graph.
Ultimately I’ve learned not to put much stock into numbers that are difficult to validate how they came about. All too often they can give a very misleading picture.
