Halloween Offering Equipped But Not Used

Not sure if this is limited to the event offering ("Arcane Dowsing Rod") or offerings in general, but if I use all of the event offerings I have so that it is greyed out, then buy another one in the bloodweb without re-equipping it, the offering will show as equipped in the lobby, but will not be "offered" and end game screen reflects that it was not used. Un-equipping and re-equipping the offering seems to solve the problem, as well as restarting the game.
