Why isn't weather in the game yet?
Rain, thunder and lightning, wind, snow? All these are really atmospheric yet we don't have any weather or environmental effects in the game still. Fog and mist are others that would be good, fog needs a complete overhaul imo as right now its about as much like actual fog as I am a priest.......
Does anyone else feel that weather should feature in upcoming maps?

This game has some real struggles to run as it is with some of the effects. The game might literally start exploding Xbox Ones and PS4s if they attempted to add environmental effects

Red Forest has rain and Ormond has snow.

I'd gathered its just because of Hardware, to many machines would just chunk because of it, and to be honest i'd rather more core game play issues were fixed rather than just "pretty" things.

If they could put weather in the game then what's stopping them from fixing the rest of the game

Yes, but only lightly. Lerys has snow and i think RPD also has light rain.
But it is a design and performance choice i guess.
Strong rain or thunder would disturb the gameplay and sound. I think i would like it anyways.

Too much work for them. They can't even optimize the game the way it is rn

Some people have issues with noticing survivors even without rain, thunder or snow.
I'm not even gonna mention the scratch marks...
