Unable to unhook survivors (Hook spawns)

I noticed this problem months ago and came across it on a different map a couple days ago.
There are certain hooks on certain maps where if the killer stands directly in front of the hooked survivor, the other survivors can’t unhook them. No options will come up to get them off the hook.
In both the cases I have experienced, I just had to leave and let my teammate die because there was nothing I could do.
The hook placements need to be adjusted preferably away from corners or interfering objects.
The maps I have experienced this on are Springwood and Racoon City Police Department East Wing.
I play on PlayStation but I do not think the platform affected this.
