Unspecified error resulting in bloodweb regression

Playing on PC.
I spent bloodpoints to get Spine Chill for my first track of the bloodweb in the screenshot. When I spent my points on the last node of the web (the offering on the far left), I was booted back to the main screen and given an error to the effect of, "An unspecified error prevented the bloodweb from updating." When I got back in to my lobby, this was the bloodweb I found; my bloodpoints were spent as though I had bought the node, but then it showed me that Spine Chill was not purchased, despite it being the 3rd node in that bloodweb I bought.
I do not have logs.
