Potential Energy's weakness when being injured
What if that aspect got removed, would the perk be broken or still niche

I think then it would be viable. As it stands (at least on paper anyway) it's awful, helps the killer more than survivors. Could be a little helpful in 3gen situations but of course those are rare and can be prevented usually.

It's not a bad perk. It would be "viable" if the survivor meta wasn't so strong in comparison. But you know...

I still don't think it would be that popular, maybe in coordonated teams but if you play that you won't 3 gen anyway.

PE really only seems viable in comp squads. The average SWF isn't going to be able to hide a player with PE.
It's a completely dead perk in a non-SWF setting.

All these new perks are awful ######### made for SWF or newbies (fogwise), nothing for soloQ

Newbies aren't hitting great skill checks offten.

Absolutely. Though it is good on the whole hyperfocus/steakout combo.
As far as PE goes, it's potentially busted in a good team as a 3 gen slayer, but really hard to make good use of solo.

Definitely should be removed.
In the current state, it's a No Mither 2.0

I was playing soloq yesterday with PE because I still need Vittorio's adept. I faced a Legion with full slow down on Torment Creek and I immideately thought that this perk will not be worth using. There was a 3gen at main but even me trying to use the perk, didn't get rid of that 3gen. My team mindlessly decided to 3gen us.

I dont know, even if the ability to store progress is 'nice' i guess, It really is very situational to use.
And the fact that it has 4 downsides including the chance to lose it all just by getting hit makes it VERY HIGH risk from what it does.

It's still limited and you would have to give up BtL or streetwise for it making the combo weaker.
The problem with PE Is its very strong so it has to have a strong downside. 20% gen progress that the killer has no way of regressing is super strong. I agree that it's just going to help swfs though and maybe really good solos.

Does the Survivor not lose stacks of PE if they lose health states, though?
PE isn't strong, it's only strong if used in a 4 man SWF who can bulldoze a gen with it. Otherwise, it's a waste of time.

Your right I worded that wrong. I ment the potential is really strong and that's why it has to have a downside if you could just store 20% gen progression and just dump it at anytime without any risk it would be broken.

Can't just remove the perk lol that would leave vittorio with 2 perks
And replacing it with another is simply just a rework, not removal

it's a borderline sandbag perk in soloq tbh, even if they buffed it. maybe in comp dbd it is not a joke but comp dbd it's self is a joke

Was this perk actually buffed? I don't see PE mentioned in Changes from PTB on the patch notes...

The perk itself is a problem if more than one person runs it. Especially if you use things like Prove Thyself that builds up your tokens faster. If let’s say 3 people run the perk it becomes a SWF goldmine. Especially if you have Stakeout and Hyperfocus. Add in a New Part and you could finish a Gen by yourself in almost half the time.
