Map is still 💩, it is too big. Change it, regular non mobility killers struggle on it hard.

Its pretty great for Nurse though lol... nice and open with not too many LOS blockers. But yeah, for slow M1 killers... RIP

Is it actually that big? It didn't feel all that much larger than the average size for a map the few times I've played on it so far.
Ever since Eyrie of Crows I've learned to be a bit suspicious when people start saying a map is supposedly gigantic, lol.

Okay, survivor.

Nice attempt, but no.

Eyrie feels gigantic tho, like to me it feels like the biggest map, it may not be but it sure feels like.

It's not. It's the same size as Ormond, which iirc is about the average/medium size for a map.

Still actually wanna play it.

Nah, Im gonna preffer to be on copium with that one.

The issue with Eyrie isn't one of size, but content.
Most traditional maps have a pretty sizable 'deadzone' area around the edges where there are no gens, no hooks, and no pallets.
Both Ormond and Eyrie can and will spawn generators, pallets, jungle gyms, and hooks very close to the edge of the map.
This means that a good gen patrol is pretty difficult, if not impossible, for most non-mobility Killers at the start of the match.
This makes people *feel* like the map is too big, even though it's the same size as other, less problematic maps.
It also can lead to Killer sided issues with pallet depletion and camping/tunnelling, but that depends on specific map RNG.

Certainly, I can see that. People are still wrong to act like it's monstrously big, though, so that's why I hesitate to accept someone saying the same of the newest map.
From what I've played, the new map might actually be pretty balanced once the pallet spawning bugs are fixed. I certainly hope so, anyway...

If they haven't touched Eyrie of awful, gas hell, Gideons pallet plant, mothers infinite or garden of misery what makes you think they'll be changing this map straight away?

the map is a haven for killers that require LoS, ranged killers in particular since a lot of filler tiles are short walls or fences. that one tile with the pallet and the long wall (not the long-wall jungle gym the other one) has a shorter inner wall on the pallet side which makes it much more playable for killers like huntress or deathslinger.

Except for the all red which makes scratch marks hard to see. Hell, they don't need to change the map to fix that, necessarily, just make the scratch marks a different colour, like neon green or something like that.

you might be able to turn on the colorblind filter while loading in, that could help
