Xbox - some menu options take forever to load

On xbox series x, since the latest update/bone chill event, choosing “play as killer’, ‘play as survivor’ or ‘custom game’ makes it take 20-30 seconds to load the lobby, when it used to be instant. The archives, tutorial and store still work fine. The game crashed once when I chose ‘play as killer’. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, restarting and hard power cycling my Xbox in every order I can think of. No change.
