I've noticed in the course of over 10 games that if, as killer, you HAVE to do something urgently irl, if you stand still in-game for around 30 seconds, the game will disconnect you and you will get a dc penalty, that's kind of very stupid! isn't it? something as simple as helping my eldery mother with groceries... get's you punished, and guess what, the penalty has racked up to 15 minutes for me, all of then have been "you have been disconnected from the host".

is this actually a thing? i've never gotten disconnected when i play the entire matches, and it also happens as survivor, i go help my mother with something after hiding in a locker, boom, you have been disconnected from the host.

we all have stuff to do in our daily life, so such a huge penalty for leaving the game for 30 seconds.. i dont understand, what's the point of it?

Actually this should not happen at all, I have seen afk killers and survivors that don’t get automatically disconnected..

also the penalty only builds up if you dc/get dc‘d multiple times in a set (relatively short) time frame (like 1-2 days-ish) - if you don’t dc that long the next time it will be reset to the 5 min penalty
