A way to solve The Problem... maybe

I've been lurking on the forums for ages now. They are quite entertaining, but the hostility between the Survivor and Killer communities is amazing. Killers calling Survivors entitled, Survivors complaining about killer perks, killers complaining about survivor perks, maps being killer sided or survivor sided... there's a lot of negativity!
I have what might be a really simple solution. I think BHVR made a minor mistake many years ago. A mistake that has lead to this hostility.
I think they picked the wrong names.
Killers. They have to get kills. It's in the name. Hook states, chases, these are good, but it's all about the kills.
Survivors. They are SUPPOSED to survive. It's in the name. If they don't, then it's understandable that they would feel bad.
Now obviously both sides cant come out of this feeling like they succeeded. If the Killer kills the Survivors don't survive, and vice versa.
So I wonder if a collective name change would help matters? Kind of refocus the community back onto the fun of the game, and away from the "I must Kill" / "I must survive" mentality? Thoughts?
Killer main by the way, but a rubbish one.

I voted to be called the hookers but nobody liked it for some reason.

Embrace "The Hookers" and "The Runners". For me it's all about chases on both sides.
But just changing the names wouldn't do much, as survs still want 3 full health chases and most killers don't have the time to do that as the survs objectives can go much quicker. Potential 12 hooks are nearly impossible against a good team, even with gen defense.

It should be, you should have 60% kill rate in average, which 7.2 hooks for simple math.
for complicating one, Survivors have to complete 5 Gens every match (to achieve 2 escapes). Killers only need to do between 2 or 6 hooks for 2 kills.
there are many matches that eventhough 3 hooks with 2 Gens left. It can turn the game from survivors winning to killer winning with the next hook (can be the last hook for one of them, can be killer decide to camp that 2nd hook without Kindred, can be survivors make a single mistake but a great one)
the game should give a buff to a side if other side is winning. Making come back mechanic to keep both side racing for their goal and engaging. 1 hook with 1-2 Gen left and 1 dead with 4-5 Gen left should never be a thing.

Changing the names won't change the win conditions, unfortunately. Now it's super obvious that kills and escapes are what both sides need to win. People want to win, it is natural. And even if we change names into hookers (heh) and runners then complains become different but won't be gone. Instead of genrushing killers will argue about chase perks abused by survivors and survivors will ask why do we have anti-loop killers/perks in game where runners are supposed to loop by definition.
Then, as funny as it could be, tunnelling one person out to have an ability to hook all others three times with no efforts will be still viable strategy. Same with camp: altruism makes survivors give hooks to camper without any running involved :D
Or, even worse, survivors won't have motivation to unhook their teammate because their goal isn't to survive but to give killer as less hooks as possible.
Jokes aside, I think my first paragraph is enough here. But I'd love to join the hookes' club! xDD

My first thought on potential name changes was to call them Victims instead of Survivors. As then if they escaped it would feel like more of an achievement. However, I realise that the Survivor community would probaby feel quite negatively about being called Victims. (>_<)
Hunters / Hunted is too similar to each other.
Chasers sounds very unscary.
Runners I like.... but when I do play survivor I don't actually spend a lot of time running. Mostly hiding, or touching a gen.
Actually, given how I play Killer maybe we could call then Wanderers? Or Searchers? :)

This would solve nothing.
Killers and Survivors are not at each others throats because of a name of their roles, but because its PvP game.
