Deadhard with no animation?

Hi,

I have had a couple matches this week as killer where I hit someone and dead hard goes off with no animation.

One survivor in particular always had DH go off (no animation). I wanted to test and them out and see what was happening. I chased for a long time trying to bait it out. I was right behind them for 30 seconds to see if they would use it. When I finally hit them they got the deadhard off.

Is this a bug? Or a cheat? Or have I just been facing really good DH players?

    Are you sure it was Dead Hard and not Off the Record or another endurance perk? All Dead Hard does is provide endurance for 0.5 seconds with an accompanied animation. Off the Record gives you 80 seconds of endurance after you've been unhooked so long as you don't perform a conspicuous action (like touching a generator). It could also have been Mettle of Man.

    It is possible that you faced a cheater as well, but without a video, it's really hard to say.
