What Would it Take to Make a Teleportation Perk Fair?
I have an idea in my head for a perk that allows a survivor to setup a teleporter and then one time use it per proc. Could require it to have a condition like 45 seconds on a generator similar to blast mine.
What would it take to make it balanced and work? Obviously a distance limit matters, something like 24-32 meters? So if you're about to go down you're still in the terror radius.
How about an activation timer. Something like three-five seconds to activate? Oh maybe activating the teleporter would make a pretty distinct noise. Could even make a loud noise notification on the spot that you teleported to.
Is there any way this could work in DBD? What would you, especially to you Killer mains like to see to make this something that feels fair to go against.

Survivors should have no control over where they teleport, teleport points cannot be setup by survivors, the points of teleportation should be limited, have a small delay to use, and the point of origin should be in a dangerous spot. Killers should also be able to disable or use the teleport.
If I were to do a quick and dirty example it’d be something like:
With this Perk Equipped, you can perform a rummage action in The Basement Chest. It opens a rift floating above the open Chest. The Survivor can perform another Rummage Action on any other Chest in the Trial to open a connecting rift.
Rifts outside of The Basement teleport into the Basement. Rifts inside the basement randomly choose an exit rift (if any).
Both Survivors and Killers can interact with the Rift, with a small action delay, and Killers have the option to close the rift.

Well first you have to keep in mind if 4 Survivors do it, how fun/fair is it for the Killer?
chances are not likely, but it can be used in different ways. Think a perk like DS. a Good anti tunnel perk.
If it was a Perk that activated on being unhooked or unhooking yourself near the Killer and then for 10 to 20 seconds, if you jump into a locker. You will get instantly teleported to a locker furthest from the locker you jumped into and the Killer will get a 'poof' smoke effect.
Then it would be fair, cause survivors need good anti tunnel variety and bHVR does support Survivors not being tunneled out as something you can make a perk for. I would love survivors to get something like this.

Just have the survivor link two lockers to teleport between and only allow it to work once per match.

In my mind, it would be a perk that lets a Survivor teleport through a locker, it can only be used if not in a chase but within the Killer's TR, it needs a few seconds to charge similar to Head-On (to give the Killer a chance to catch them in the act), you don't get to choose which locker you teleport to (though it has to have a minimum distance from you) and it can only be used once.

I would have it so if the killer finds your teleporter they can hijack it for themselves, also using it within a short distance should allow you to be followed through it

I rather if the teleport be completely random, instead of being able to assign locker A and B; as well as make it one time use perk, like DS. Survivors with teleport can be quick strong, but would be quite OP if it can be used multiple times and can be used to get out of say.. Basement for instance. Plus, there needs to be a risk for something so powerful, like... you need to take Protection hits, or be in chase for a certain period of time before it can be used.
As a Killer Main, with a fair share of Survivors; I would have preferred killer being the only entity beings that have such powerful yet mysterious perk. But It might add of bit of element of surprise and fun for both side, if it balances right.
Right now, I simple see it exploitable and quite very strong for Survivor, as it can allows them to make great escapes without a trace.
