PC: Lobby Drops when I change character

I play on PC, my username in game is MarbleGalaxy #a6a0. Whenever I find a lobby in an online match, I cannot change characters or it will disconnect me from the host. I am not sure if this is a bug or not but I never had this issue before and now I must set up my character before even finding a match and it kind of sucks. This happens every time I finally find a lobby and when I do I cannot change or look through other characters.
