PC - Can't see gen sparks from regressing generators

Gens do not produce sparks after being kicked whether I am the killer or not, I have had this issue for a while now (approximately 2 to 3 months) I have tried verifying integrity of files and uninstalling and reinstalling the game and neither of those have fixed it
it happens on all killers and on every map and it does not matter what perks I use
