Why do we still have depips?

Grades are supposed to reflect time played during a month and not skill right? Then shouldn't depips go away? It's so frustrating when you depip due to dcs or teammates leaving you to die on hook. Just earlier today I depiped as killer because of two dcs. At that point the best I could hope for is a safety if I sweat and manage to get 5 good chases and hook out of the remaining two. This just doesn't make sense it today's DBD.
