New Add On System Etc.
So I think i have devised a better add on system, or at least an idea that maybe could generate into a better gaming experience. I am sick of Prestiging characters a few times, only to get 1 or 2 of an add on that I like. The RNG of Add ons is kind of ridiculous. I think Killers get screwed in this. Survivors still get a toolbox, may not be great, but still better then nothing. So many killers have terrible add ons and the ones that you want, you don't seem to ever get.
What I propose is scrap the bloodweb, more to that later. Have every killer have every add on, same with survivors, every item. However, impose daily limits on each add on based on rarity. Example. Only say.. 3 uses of each Ultra Rare, 6 of each rare, 12 of each uncommon, unlimited yellow and brown? As an example. This would eliminate the RNG of the web, and allow players to play the builds they want. More casual players would always be able to play the killer and build they want without having to worry about the RNG. More consistent players would have to adapt to new playstyles and builds. I think this would add greater variety to the game. On survivor side it would eliminate a players ability to say always bring Brand New Parts, super charged med kits etc.
Since Bloodwebs are dead, you would need a new perk system. Have perk awarded for PLAYING a character. Example. You play Pinhead for say, 20 matches, win or lose, you unlock Perk A for everyone. Then at say 40? Perk B, etc etc. This would make people play other killers etc more often, and because win or lose doesn't matter, would take a lot of the stress out. Maybe incentives for Emblems, X amount of Iri emblems awards further progress towards the played matches. Counts as 2 matches etc.
So with Perk changes, the Shrine would also need to be changed. Rather then individual perks, have perks for 1 killer, and 1 survivor. You buy the package of them. This would save a player having to play that character. Could also buy the Tiers of the perks rather then play.
Obviously this is a super rough draft, more of an outline. Def would need some tweaks and feedback. I think this might be healthy for the game. Curious what others think of it :)
Thank you
