Flashlights working intermittently

Flashlights are working intermittently. Sometimes it's fine, other times It makes the burn sound but doesn't work, as if the killer has Lightborn (but they dont). The only way to correct it is to let go of the flashlight use button and re-press it, continuing to hold it continues to make the burn sound but still doesn't work.
This happens in live games and custom games on any killer with any survivor and flashlight.
It has been happening for at least a week, maybe a bit longer.
Playing on PC.
This occurs every game.
