The recent maps like Shattered Square need more grass

The more recently released maps are horrible for Trapper and Hag since they don't have a way to hide their traps very well. IMO the biggest issue is not the map size (though Trappers traps spawning on the edge map is horrible especially on these maps since he needs to go to those) but the fact that it's very easy to see the traps since there is almost no grass on the maps. Like what is Trapper supposed to do other than playing basement Trapper? BHVR seems to have forgotten that the old killers exist except Nurse. We already have the golden standart like the MacMillan maps. Why not orienting on these maps? They are the most popular in the community. But no, they rather make ridiculously large maps with a crazy amount of filler pallets and no grass. Putting down more grass is not solving the core issue for all killers but makes it more fair for Trapper if he already has to travel for a long time to pick up a single trap on the edge map.

I don’t think BHVR’s survivor or killer sided when it comes to designing and balancing the game, but whoever’s in charge of designing their maps is sure as hell a survivor main. Literally haven’t dropped a good map since Dead Dawg.

Whenever they revamp a map it's almost always much better than before. Exceptions are like.... the game.... fractured cowshed... gas heaven, otherwise most revamps were for the good. Midwich came after Dead Dawg too and is super killer-sided.

So I think it's a QA problem, perhaps the people playtesting the maps aren't very good at exploiting them. Because otherwise in theory balancing maps in this game should be pretty easy, rather than say, CSGO where most imbalance comes from broad layout-type stuff, in DBD balance pretty much comes down to resources and size, the latter is harder to change, but the former is very easy.

Midwich is not killer sided. Don’t let the devs’ statistics (which say it has the highest kill rate) fool you.

Midwich has the highest kill rate because the doors are static and easy to patrol in the EGC so the lone survivor never gets out after hatch is closed

Midwich is the most killer sided map. It's small, it's very easy to 3 gen and patrol gens in general and survivors often have trouble finding gens which cost them a lot of time. Aside from that most pallets aren't very safe. Onryo, Nurse, Blight, Dredge, Hag and many other killers excel on this map. And even though only the courtyard has grass the fact that Trapper can shut down entire entrances makes him a viable killer as well.

This map is a pain for every killer, one of the worst ( if not the worst ) map of the entire game
