“Concede Match” option instead of DC’ing?
Why not give killers and survivors the ability to give up and concede the match, and being able to leave without a DC penalty?
How many games have killers had where they do poorly and don’t get many hooks and 0k yet have to wait for survivors to finish tea bagging or waiting in the exit gates?
How many games have survivors had where it’s just 2 left and 3 gens and you know you’re not going to escape unless 1 gets hatch. Or killer is doing 3 gen and dragging out the match. Whatever.
The point is: introducing a healthy way to say “I give up you win” without DC’ing.
Killer could Concede the Match, which ends the trial, all survivors escape and maybe Killer gets 0 BP’s, or half, I don’t know that’s a minor detail.
Survivors can Concede to which gives the killer a Kill.
And to prevent abuse, you can only concede under a certain set of conditions. You can’t concede in the first 5 minutes, could be one. You can’t concede if you didn’t do anything at all whether never repairing a gen/unhook/heal or hid in corner as killer. Things like that.
It’s a way of leaving the game without being banned from the game.
DC’s haven’t gone away so they will never stop. But maybe this could be a healthy alternative to get out of a stalemate or end the trial quicker for whatever reason.

It's already there, informally. Once the last gen is started, the Killer can go to an exit and hit the button to open it, signaling that they're conceding.
On the Survivor side, if for instance I am the last Survivor, the hatch has been closed, I have tried to confuse the Killer at the exit gates enough to get one open, and I know it's over---when I see the Killer coming or Premonition goes off, I will take a few steps toward the Killer, duck a few times or emote, signaling that I accept my fate, I then don't struggle after being picked up, and the Killer can either choose to let me go or hook me at their discretion.

This. I just played my worst ever match of dead by daylight. In RPD, the gens were directly on top of each other. The killer was protecting a 3 gen from the very start of the game. This match took forever. It's matches like this that make me want to stop playing. They would not chase anyone or hook anyone. How is this fun? This map is complete garbage and should be removed. Not sure what they've done with the gen placements but it's almost like they're doing it intentionally to piss people off. I was SO close to Dcing multiple times.

I wish such an option existed, but there are a couple reasons it probably never will.
Early game DCs are the biggest problem. Your idea wouldn't change that. Nor can it really be changed, else survivors could just concede if they got a killer they didn't like.
On the killer side, it would probably really mess up how things work. At the 5 minute mark killers who concede if they were outmatched and not try to play for at least a 1k. The exit gate waiting is annoying, but there are ways that could also be addressed (example: if survivors stay in an exit gate area too long it pushes them out and/or locks). BHVR probably though just considers the exit gate an element of the gameplay they don't intend to touch.
Conceding could also be used on the killer side to ruin the experience. Survivors are running for the exit gate, killer realizes they aren't going to catch them, so instead of letting the survivors get the victory of getting out, concede right at the end. Sure, the survivors 'win', but DBD has a lot of theming to it and that would take away from it.
On the survivor side (where I'd really like it), I think BHVR has a different idea on what they think can happen than actually does. In a horror movie as survivors are killed off it gets more tense, DBD is the opposite. Once those first survivors go it's time to tune out of the game.
Honestly, the fact that the concede topic/suiciding/surrendering comes up so frequently points out there is a flaw in the game. There isn't really way to address it though (that I can think of) without fundamental game changes.

they should take what rocket league does, if someone DC within a certain time of starting, anyone else who DC after gets no penalty, or add bots

I could see a concede option being added to the game after 25 minutes to prevent games being held hostage

this will never happen for a variety of reasons
- survivors will give up after the smallest inconvenience (killer they dont like, they go down first, etc etc)
- this system will probably need to be a vote-both sides need to agree, and the winning side will NEVER give up their win for the other side's enjoyment (which is how it should be, tbh)
